I just received my 100mg dnp powder caps. Need some advice on how to properly take them. I have read up a lot on this drug and want to maintain a low dose cycle for 10-14 days

option 1 - take 100mg am & 100mg pm
option 2 - take 200mg am / no pm
option 3 - take 200mg pm only

Thoughts??? Experienced users please reply. All others "dont do it, you're gonna die" please save your breath. I am looking for constructive critique here.

I know it has a 36 hours half life. So on day 2 I will have 300mgs in my system, then on day 4 I will have 350mgs, am I calculating this correctly??

I'm definitely going to maintain my workouts 5x/week. Keeping the cardio light and regular weight routine during the cycle.

Carbs: LOTS of fruit, sweet potato, ezekiel bread (limited amounts)
protein: chicken, tilapia, egg whites, greek yogurt
supplementing with V-8 for potassium & vitamin E for antioxidants
1 gal of water/ day

I've seen people with pretty dry logs and a somewhat linear decline of weight, very dry, and then others with extreme retention. I don't know the mechanism, maybe it's carb related, but since it's so variable even from the same source it's not a good indication of if the stuff is working.

How are your cravings, by the way?

Hey Guys ... a little scared today. Took my 100mg at 9:00am (about 2 hours ago) I am now experiencing extreme shortness of breath and chest tightness. Temperature is normal, no sweating, just warm. I think I'll stick with the 100mgs for the whole day, maybe 50mg before bed if anything...

Lethargy during/after workout was tough. Felt like I was walking home in waist deep water. I did a bare minimum workout but was sweating like I ran 10 miles.

Cravings kicked in this morning, I had a LARGE breakfast after taking DNP. (quest bar, fat free greek yogurt, raspberries, 100 calorie brownie and a coffee) so maybe the carbs are exacerbating the symptoms.

What's your HR and BP? Not real scientific, but does your sweat still taste salty?

I'm much better now. My heart was actually in cramping with pain, apparently its a very common side effect.

Back to the cycle... keep you guys posted.

Watch those electrolytes! Cardiac arrhythmia is NO JOKE. It's a common side effect of DNP because the drug is very likely to cause that due to its other effects on the body. Prolonged arrhythmia can cause permanent heart damage, myocardial infarction, and death.

Be safe :D

DAY 8 - 100mg am & 100mg pm
Had to flip the pillow 3x last night from sweat! Loving it...

No extreme weight loss, maybe I am carrying water, maybe my dose is too low but I'm riding this cycle out for another 7 days @ 200mgs.

Ate like shit yesterday, cravings and appetite were out of control. Going to chalk it up to a one day binge and get back to the grind. I did notice that I had a lot of energy yesterday and killed my work out, so maybe eating that turkey sandwich for lunch boosted energy, which means carbs will fight lethargy associated with DNP.

Yeah, absolutely, a carb load can help out a lot, stalling loss, energy, mood, motivation. Just don't break out the cookies and cake and you're fine. You seem to be adhering to a strict diet which is something a lot of people tend to blow off in their logs.

With the dnp at your BW & deficit theres just no way in hell you aren't losing, the mirror and scale will be deceptive until several days after, when the water drops. No need to up the dose.

I had some water retention on DNP. It'll clear out around 4-7 days after you stop. Also be careful not to starve yourself, your body's metabolism is working at a crazy rate but your diet looks good.

Today marks the 14th day of my DNP cycle. I'm still alive, feeling good(ish) I definitely have bouts of lethargy. Water retention is minimal.

Days 1 & 2 - only 100mgs
Days 2 - 10 - 100mg am & 100 mg pm
Days 10 - current 100 mg am & 150 mg pm

I think my dose the entire first week was way too low to make an impact on fat loss. Either that or my body takes a while to get kicked into fat burning mode, which has been my struggle for a couple months now and is the entire reason I have turned to DNP.

ANYWAY - It is only in the past 3 days at 150mg that I woke up in a puddle of sweat and visibly leaner. My abs are peaking through, I want moooore, I can feel beast mode starting to kick in. I have decided to run this thing into a 21 day cycle.

Suggestions on supplements, diets or anything that needs to be altered/added when running a 21 day cycle?? Thanks guys.

Is it possible that your water intake has decreased (or sweat / urine output has increased from a higher dose) and therefore you're looking leaner now? With your diet as strict as it was, there's just no way you weren't losing the first week, but it was masked by water retention -- as normal! I'd expect in a smaller frame still drinking upwards of 2 gallons or more would be even worse.

This is a really, really common trap to fall into, increasing the dose AND extending the cycle length, not to mention re-evaluating diet. I wouldn't change a thing, personally -- don't lower the cals, it's all well and strict already, and drink more! Water retention doesn't occur to the same severity in everybody, but if you went from bloated to shredded mid-cycle, not a good indicator in my opinion. Reap the benefits after when the water has dropped, and not from dehydration.

Not trying to come off as condescending, we just all want to stay safe here.

Oh man my DNP just landed today!! GymJam keep us posted with the results. I personally stick to 14 day cycles. 4 days at 250 and 10 at 500. For those interested I'll be starting a log tomorrow!

I think I lost around 12-15lbs of fat. I ran it during summer like a moron. I was brushing my teeth and my mirror was fogging up. My body was an absolute furnace it was insane. Ill post before and after pics as well.

Alright I'll just continue what I'm doing with the vitamin c, multivitamin and NAC and of course keep my water intake up.

Serra - Are you using crystal or powder? Looking forward to your log.

So today is the last day of my DNP cycle. I have lost about 5lbs, hoping I have more water retention to lose in the coming week.

It was nice dropping some weight, but I definitely feel like its a lazy way to do it. For me at least, I was only able to get to the gym 3x a week and even those times I gave 50% I was just soooo tired. Walking home from work and up a flight of stairs became exhausting. Anyway 21 days and 5lbs down - not bad, but NOT amazing. My diet was clean 80% of the time and again my work outs were subpar so I can't expect much better.… I don't think I'd run DNP again, it just made me feel so tired and hot and hungry! Either way survived the cycle went up to 300mg the past couple days.

Thanks for following :)

there you go! perfect synopsis.

DNP is just not worth it! Especially with all the other known side effects.
