I received a complete bottle top filter, and after removing it from the sterile sealed packaged I noticed the bottom receiver is cracked. The upper reservoir, filter membrane, and all other parts seem to be in working order upon visual inspection. I have not removed the lower receiver from the filtration unit, nor have I opened or touched the upper reservoir, or the unit as a whole. My question is can I still use the upper portion and filter, while attaching a sterile glass receiver. Attached is a photo of the crack.
