What's up man!?
Hey - I'm sure there are some who will dispute this, don't take nolvadex until you need it...but have it (and arimidex) on hand incase you need it. I have a buddy who gets away with well over a gram a week (mainly test) and doesn't take novladex during cycle (only afterwards) - he doesn't get gyno flare-ups at even a gram a week!!! Some people aren't so lucky - some of us are more prone to gyno, hypertension, etc. It's shitty, but we have to work with the genes we are given.
Since this is your first cycle, be VERY watchful of what your body is doing. If your B.P. elevates really high or if you get that itchy, scratchy sensation in the nipples (and you'll know it when it happens), start the novladex or adex. Without previous cycles, you just don't know how you'll react to test. It was said above, AND I CAN NOT agree more with the following, "eat clean and often, drink a gallon of water every day, sleep 8-9 hours every night. lay off the booze, and train like a sommabitch." Those are almost cardinal...but here's one I would add - "get a nice girl who's naughty in the bedroom"...you'll be the 21 year old stud us older boys wish we were again.
Best wishes!

it's starting to stress me out how the general consensus about taking ancillaries during cycle is to wait for symptoms before taking them. let me cut and paste an old post I made:

I appreciate any more feedback! That Old Graybass!
Bro, you are setting yourself up for death at a very young age
Why do I say that? You currently have uncontrolled levels of estrogen raging in your body. Do you have to SHOW signs of gyno when you have too much estrogen in your body? NO.....gyno is not merely caused by high levels of estrogen, it's also determined by the ratio of androgens to estrogens. Thus you could go for weeks of extremely elevated levels of estrogen and not have a clue about it (cus you dont see it)
Elevated estrogen will do some or all of the following things to your body (it might have already so you BETTER GET CHECKED!)
1) ventricular hypertrophy from extended periods of elevated BP, concurrent with steroid use
2) makes you store fat like there's no tomorrow
3) DECREASES your gains (less muscle)
4) supresses your HTPA tremendously
5) causes kidney damage
and so on....you get the idea. these levels of estrogen are BAD.
your lack of anti-aromatase during the cycle is the worst thing you could do to yourself.
- get your blood pressure checked by a professional.
- get bloodwork done that measures test, free test, and female hormones (est, prog, etc)
- get some nolvadex and femara PRONTO and take 2.5mg femara ED for 2 weeks, then EOD till the end of your cycle. nolvadex at 20mg ED.
- get your kidney function checked, including ADH, and aldosterone.
on the other hand, you can say f*** this I "FEEL" fine, i'll just carry on doing what i'm doing. But answer me this: Guy on the street running around, carrying on with his daily activities FEELS fine. exercises, does cardio and eats well, suddenly drops dead of a heart attack. he FELT fine....but was his body healthy?
for your sake, go get checked
(end cut and paste.)
So I hope we can cut the crap about having ancillaries "on hand" and taking them when you start getting itchy nips. Everyone will need ancillaries during cycle. People prone to gyno take more, others not prone to it take less.
think about it....if your body aromatizes most of the gear but you still maintain the ratio of androgens to estrogens, you wont show gyno. You'll still have a shitload of estrogen in your body, but you wont show it. Whats the main point here? well the most important one for the AAS user who wants to put on muscle mass is that he has a lot less gear to cause growth, since most of it has been aromatized. secondly, you have all the aforementioned side effects of estrogen like making you FAT, supressing HPTA, etc. its all in the post above. so pple who want to wait for itchy nips, go for it if you really want to, but now you know you're shooting yourself in the foot.
