Sup bros - I just got done reading "Bodybuilding: A scientific approach" by Federick Hatfield PhD. Even though the book was published in the 80s I think it still had a lot of valuable timeless info in it.
I was wondering if any of you guys have heard of the SAID principle (Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands), which is kinda built off, or intertwined with the concept of, the hollistic training approach.
Mitochondria - 20-30% cell size
Myofibrillar Elements - 20-30% cell size
Sarcoplasm/Capillary Beds - 20-30% cell size
Other cell elements - remaing cell mass
Hollistic training approach is training SPECIFICALLY to increase each one of these elements, doing anywhere from 3 or 4 to 20-25 reps at 80-90% and 50-60% respectively, of your 1RM to do so.
If any of you guys have your routine engineered for this you mind e-mailing it to me or posting it? I want to try it and was lookin for some tips. Any info from you vets out there would be very much valued. As before i just stuck to traditional splits, supersets, and the like. Now that I'm gettin hardcore I want to really find out the science behind what will work best for me......
