First Cycle, 6 weeks test phenylpropionate

I'm three days in to a 350mg 6 week cycle of test-ph. I might do a more aggressive cycle later if this first one goes well. I'd like any help or input regarding my blood test and/or pct. I plan on getting a second blood test three weeks in and a third test a week after PCT is done.

Here are my stats:

Male
27 years old
210 lbs
18% BF (taken with calipers)
10 years casual lifting experience, last two have been more focused, with better results.

Here's the cycle I'm running:


Wk 1-6: 350mg test-ph per week (one 0.5cc pin (50mg) every day) (Pharmacomstore)
Wk 1-6: .50mg arimidex eod (more if gyno presents, less if my joints hurt) (Pharmacomstore)
Wk 8-11: 50mg clomid every day (Pharmacomstore)
Wk 8-11: 20mg nolva every day (ReliableRX)

I have HCG (ReliableRX) on hand if my balls start shrinking too much.

My goal for this cycle is to recomp, mostly for aesthetics, and to test the waters with AAS. I'm at a higher bodyfat than most people recommend for a first cycle, but I want to look good for a social event in about a month and a half so I'm on a time budget. I gained ~40lbs late last year trying to get into the 1000lb club. Once I hit a 355 squat for a 1000lb total, I started cutting. I've lost about 2lbs a week consistently since the beginning of the year.

Diet:
training days: 200 protein
435 carbs
62 fat
Non-training: 200 protein
69 carb
114 fat

All of my macros come from whole foods, the only supplement I take is some fiber at night to keep me regular. On cheat days or cheat meals, my macros stay the same, they just come from crappier sources, I might eat a hamburger and fries for a meal instead of fish, brocolli, and sweet potato.

Training:
Right now I lift four days a week, each day centered around one of the big compound lifts with accessory lifts.

Day 1: Squat, plus accessory lifts like front squat, sissy squat, lunges, calf raises.
Day 2: Bench plus incline bench, dips, close grip bench, DB flyes.
Day 3: OHP plus lateral raises, rear delt flyes, dumbbell press, shrugs.
Day 4: Deadlift plus pullups, barbell rows, curls, t-bar rows, DB rows, shrugs.

Once the test kicks in, I may combine shoulders and legs into one day and do each day twice a week.

I got bloodwork before I started, to get a baseline. My LDL is high, but my HDL is high enough that I don't think I need to worry about the LDL. Plus I've added more oats and black beans to my diet for the soluble fiber, which should help my LDL. My hormone numbers were a little troubling. My total test and free test are on the lowest end of normal but my estradiol is almost halfway between the normal range. Everything regarding my liver and kidneys was within the normal range.

I'll update with notes and progress pics as I go.

The first three pins in my glutes weren't so bad, two on the right, and one on the left. I don't even feel the needle, or the injection. No pip, but my right glute is super sore. No strength or libido changes yet.
 
How tall are you? Guess 5'-10" ? It's not necessarily a waste to run test while you have some extra bodyfat but there is kind of a cut off somewhere I think. You are around the area I'm sure some will say you could drop a few pounds but it depends on your goals I suppose.

You're +20-23 percent maybe? Maybe others will take a guess...I always find online charts to be more helpful than using calipers. They never seem correct.
 
You do not need to wait 2 weeks after your last injection to start PCT. Phenylprop has a very similar half life to Prop. 3-5 days after your last injection should be sufficient time to wait before starting PCT.

The gear will run through the end of week six and I'll start PCT at the beginning of week 8, so only one week in between.
 
Day four, soreness is gone, still no pip when I pin. I have a little acne on the backs of my shoulders. I'll update later today after I lift. I'm doing shoulders today.
 
I started to lift yesterday but my joints were super creaky and my strength was really off. I don't know if I was just tired or if the Adex had lowered my estrogen too low. I probably didn't need to start it right when I started the Test so I cut back to .25eod until I feel I need to increase it. I did shoulders this morning, no problems, and I'll do squats tonight. I'm up 1.6lbs so far. my muscles feel a little fuller but it could just be placebo, phenylprop is supposed to kick in around day 10.
 
I'm up 5lbs and I look better in the mirror. I'll post pictures next week. Strength and libido are up. I'm going to start pinning 1cc eod instead of 0.5cc every day. Are there any tips to decrease oil leaking out after an injection? I use a 1.5" needle and stick it all the way in but I still get a little dribble of oil leaking out every time I pin.
 
I have backloaded insulin pins with test prop. 1cc/100mg per pin. Makes pinning a breeze but you need to be lean.

Omg, another person who thinks that AAS is a magical weight loss supplement/drug. It is NOT, AAS does not burn fat or increase fat burning. If you did some research or looked around this site you would see multiple studies saying it doesn't burn fat. Not to mention @Dr JIM has posted many times on this exact study. I don't want to bash your body but to say 18% is very modest.
 
While I agree with your post, let's not be too harsh on this member. He's not doing a silly amount of test and his diet has been planned out. He may be off on the BF but he is making a positive start. Pre cycle bloods and so on. This guy needs encouragement rather than bashing.

We all know that AAS will not burn fat. But with his diet and training he will build lean mass, and in turn that muscle mass will burn more calories.

OP. Keep doing what your doing. Don't get carried away with it. Results will come.
 
Thanks Bren. I didn't mean that steroids burn fat, just that they allow a person to build muscle while burning fat. I know AAS aren't magic but if my diet and training are both dialed in, they'll allow me to accomplish more than I would be able to without them.

You really need to hire a trainer bc it's clear from your pics your deficit lies in TRAINING rather than AAS!

Everything is still going well with my cycle, my pumps are fuller than they usually are, especially in my forearms. I do lateral raises every other day now and my shoulders are starting to show more. I've been pinning more slowly and haven't had any oil leak out again. Libido is way up, I feel like I'm 17 again. I used a steroid calculator and input my injections and the half life of phenyl prop and it said I'll be at full blood concentration after two weeks so I'm going to get my second blood test around the middle of next week. How long after my PCT ends should I wait to get my third test? Do I go by the half lives of Clomid and Nolvadex, or should I wait longer?

My strength is really starting to increase, I added 15lbs to my max bench for 255. I'm also up 8lbs so I'm going to dial my calories back a little bit.

So despite what everyone told you, you did they cycle anyways. Nice. Next time you pin, inject slower and leave the needle in for like 10 sec.

Maybe you just started reading from the bottom. He made it plenty clear he was already on the cycle. Duh! He's on a deadline....
 
I got mid cycle blood work done last Tuesday and got the results on Friday. I upped my Arimidex to .50mg eod from .25 since my estradiol was so high. My face is oilier than usual, but no gyno or acne. My balls are definitely smaller but I expected that. Strength and libido are still up and I'm more motivated all the time and just overall feel great.

My last pin was on Friday because I ran out of test. I gained 14 pounds and added 35 pounds to my bench and 10 to my squat during 5 weeks of 350mg/week. My next cycle will either be a bulking cycle over the winter or another short cycle before next summer but I'm going to lean out before I do another cycle. I wasn't expecting to get huge and shredded in 5 weeks with >20% bf so I'm more than happy with my results.
