First post after lurking and reading for months

Wanting to finally get active on the forum after spending some months just reading and soaking up some knowledge.

I’m 36 yo, been lifting on and off since playing football in high school. Really started my fitness journey in 2022 at 5’7” 275 lbs. I’ve struggled with addiction my whole adult life so between meth, heroin, fentanyl, and brief periods of sobriety, life has been a roller coaster.

Now 3 years sober and 3 years into my fitness journey, I’m weighing in at 155 lbs which is actually 20 lbs up from my lowest weight a couple months ago. From May to August I cut down to 133 with Reta. I started 300mg test, 3iu gh, and anavar on training days in August and have put on 20 lbs, most of which is probably water/glycogen weight since my diet hasn’t changed much.

Honestly the weight gain has kind of freaked me out because it’s come on fast, but I was definitely too skinny at 133. Very much victim weight. I’m loving the changes in the look of my physique even tho some clothes are fitting a bit tighter. After a lifetime of being overweight, any weight gain is somewhat disconcerting.

Anyway that’s a bit of my story. Glad to be here and a part of this community.

Sounds like you were in hell man. I'm glad you are feeling healthy now and hopefully this fitness journey turns into a life long obsession with being and feeling the best you can.

The most important question here is whats your blood pressure like with all that fluid retention?

300mg is a lot to jump in with. What did your bloodwork look like before you started? What bloodwork have you done since?

Why the Anavar?

Very very good advice.

So bloodwork was done before starting AAS/hgh but after Reta. Everything was in range but specifically

Total test 514 ng/dL
Free test 51 pg/ml
HDL 63
LDL 48
Triglycerides 46
Glucose 70
IGF1 56 ng/mL (this was almost out of range low)
Estradiol 9 pg/ml also pretty low?

Blood pressure is great, if not a bit low. I’m super confused as to what’s going on. The scale is up 20 lbs, I’m way stronger, I don’t think I look super watery but idk for sure, I’m not having any of the other high e2 sides.

I have bloodwork schedule a week from today. Men’s medium hormone same as before.

The var because the goal was just lean mass shredded look, but I think I should drop it since it’s been almost 8 weeks. The vascularity has been cool tho.

Thanks for taking the time. Sorry I didn’t see your response til just now.
