Hey y'all
Been on and off lurker for this board, but have recently hit 50 and felt that it was time to move forward on some additional health improvements. I've had success with losing 40lbs (320->280) during the past year using Tirz. This was in response to weight gain from an injury 2 years ago to my shoulder from poor press form and probably just not being present with the needs of my body. I've recovered from surgery on my shoulder and am ready to get back to lifting, but also to lessen the impacts of aging. I have no desire to get big, just want to be able to do my gardening and landscaping in my yard as I find it so valuable to my mental health. I'm still overweight, but am having many of the issues (lethargy, DILLIGAF, aches in new places, abdominal plumpness, etc) that could be associated with lowT.
I've been prioritizing cardio and bodyweight exercises during the past year since my surgery, as well as working to ensure that my relationship with food is strong and not being used as a form of self-medication. I do imbibe too frequently and really do enjoy a good bourbon neat. I'm beginning with a TRT company to ensure that I have medical practitioners involved as I become comfortable with the process. Especially to better understand the challenges (and advantages) that come with being 50+. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about swimmers anymore (snip-snip), but I don't want the boys to shrink either or to grow man-tits.
My job is very sedentary (therapist), so I have to be intentional about getting up and moving when I have the chance. I have a modest home gym and grand plans for my landscaping after finishing my front yard a few years ago. I'm excited for this journey and looking forward to what happens next. I got baseline labs done, while waiting for the results of CBC and testosterone, the lipid panel and PSA came back WNL, except for LDL which is slightly elevated (108 with range of >100) but also falls in line with my LDL results since 2008 (95-116).
Looking forward to the written hazing, learning more than I can understand, and posted images of spoon-fed babies.
