Well guys, my raws landed and I made my first ever home brew. I only did 30ml of Test E. 300mg/ml. Used MCT and 10% BB, 1.5% BA. I only did 30ml in case something went wrong. All in all it went nicely. The filtering....holy shit....that’s no joke, will be getting caulking gun for next brew and hope that makes it much easier!

I have never brewed before and pretty interested. How long did the whole filtering process take?

I didn’t time it but I’d guess it took maybe 15 minutes total to filter.

Yes. Whatman gdx syringe filter, did it by hand but damn it’s hard....even with warm MCT oil. Will be getting a caulk gun to brew the Primo I also got with this order.

Just pinned my first ever homemade.....VERY VERY smooth!! Super excited, couldn’t even feel it go in, will see later today and tomorrow if I get any PIP but as of right now, as smooth as anything I’ve ever pinned!!!

My concern with a chalk gun is either using too much force and something messes up or worrying that pushing too fast through filter will reduce effectiveness of filter.

Maybe someone can chime in and tell me why I'm wrong.

Thanks just trying to figure it all out. Want to give it a shot, since it still cost about $50 a vial after you add in shipping and bitcoin fees.

Can you use a bottle filter with sterile pre-sealed vials?

Yes. After letting the filter do the work you can draw the oil up with a 60ml syringe, then attach a 18 or 20 gauge needle and then inject into presealed vials.

You would also need a vacuum pump. Which if you plan on brewing in the future is a great investement and your hands and caulkgun will thank you.

The best thing I ever did was buy some 10ml syringes to filter with,WAY easier than a bigger syringe. My batches are usually a100ml and I can filter through it pretty fast with a smaller syringe. Your not out much pick up a few next go around and try them.
