Fitment questions about syringe filtering

To do the 60ml syringe and caulking gun method...do whatmans use slip on needles after the filter or luer lock type? Also...does the 60ml syringe need to be luer lock or slip on to accept the whatman filter? Trying to make sure I order the right stuff.

I've seen both, slip on and l.l.

Pro tip... only put 50ml in the 60ml syringe. You'll need the headroom in the caulking gun

With the whatmans i use luer lock 60ml syring and slip needle, but i think they can use both.

I remember using both when I first started. I'd use the luer to luer for presterilized vials. Luer to slip for my own non presterilized vials when I was comfortable with dry heat.

Not at all. It's for my first brew. Small batches of several compounds.

I'll send the raws to test and some finished product. Watch my brews to see if everything holds till test results come back. Personal use.

If all goes well then I will order more and test the same way, but make larger batches and filter thru bottle top filters.

Repeat until I have enough gear to start my own army. Then I may take over Cuba. Or New Zealand.

Double sided luer locks are out there. That's what I've had in the past.

Lock is more important on the high pressure side (syringe side).

It's not dead. But I've got to brew my own shit anyway...and I've no plans on becoming a chick. Got to start with something, right?

If I can't find dual locks...i will make sure I get the ones in my cart with the lock on the high pressure side.
