Floater safety

After 15 + years I actually noticed a floater in the pin. Bound to happen I guess. Had a Watman filter on hand, and an extra sterile vial, pushed it and fixed. Turned out to be a piece of stopper. Glad I didn't pin it.

If you're new to the game and don't know what a Watman is, look it up. It doesn't hurt to keep one around.

New to the game or veteran, be safe fellas. Shit happens.

I homebrew and fill up 100 ml vials. by the time I have drawn a few dozen times from the 100 ml vial, there are some particles from the rubber stopper floating around. I am just careful not to draw them up when I go to pin.

Same here minus the 100ml vials. If they're small enough pieces I usually try to draw them out and discard them.

I guess for vets it's no big deal, but I see some of these "kids" that ask how come their illegal drug shipment hasn't arrived after 3 days and it makes me cringe everytime. You know what I mean, the depth and immaturity I see by some users is astounding. Like nothing can hurt them. They don't do research, don't know compounds, don't know laws or safety. Doing a poll to ask how many have never heard of a Watman filter would be interesting. But hey, let's get big muscles to get laid by shooting a gram at age 19 and then go drinking this weekend at the frat house till we pass out. It's literally drug abuse.

My 100ml vials are unfiltered, and I filter into sterile 10ml vials as I need them, so the stopper isn't damaged drawing dozens of times.

I almost pinned a piece of rubber stopper last week! I just so happened to look at the pin under the light before stabbing, and I seen in. I was 5 sec away from a major fuck up... I was pinning from a 50ml vial.

Gotta inspect it before pinning from these bigger vials guys!

When I get a floatie in the pin, I put the cap back on and set it down propped up against something so the needle aims down.

After about 5 minutes, gravity brings the floater down to the end of the syringe. Then it's a simple matter of removing the pin and carefully pushing out a couple drops till it falls out.

Scary stuff - sounds like another good reason to use thin slins even when you draw.

For those who bitch about the draw time, just invert the f-ing bottle/vial and pin the plunger - easy! And injecting too fast is practically impossible with thin slins, so less PIP/scarring etc risk too.

But ya'll do what you feel like of course.
