let me start by saying that I have been lifting heavy for 5 yrs. 5 days a week.
The other day i was doing arms, and during a set of preachers, i started to feel like my forearms were going to break in half. This got worse as my workout went on. I'm thinking tendonitis, but I'm not sure exactly what that feels like.
So if someone could explain I would apreciated it. I will say that I was having trouble releasing my grip on the bar at the end of a set.

hard to say what's up from the limited amount of info you give. be more specific. where exactly does it hurt? is it the extensors or the flexors and is it at the top by the elbow or by the wrist? what other movements hurt? e.g. chest presses (with bar or bells), shoulder presses, other biceps movements, etc... is it musculo-tendon pain or joint pain? are there other non-weight-training activities that cause pain?

give as much info as you can. that's what a doc would have you do. based on that info, i'm sure there are some good bros, myself included, who could give you some good advice. in the meantime, stay away from any exercise that exacerbates the pain. icing, followed my heat 15-30 minutes later would be tremendously beneficial. also a good sports rub couldn't hurt. let us know and be careful. you don't want to keep working through the pain and hurt yourself even more.
 
The pain was in the ulna, about mid way between my wrist and my elbow.
preacher and bumbell curls are where I felt it the most.Reverse curls didnt seem to bother it that bad.The day before I did shoulders,and I think I might went a little crazy with free weight super sets.I'm hoping that it's just from me gripping to much.
