I know some of you must be familiar with covert locations for free software downloads that would otherwise be expensive to buy. I need SPSS statistical software. Any help?

The title is SPSS...damn - I just uninstalled it and SAS bro. I thougth I had it for a sec but I don't need it anymore...I would check out some of the newsgroups. Try google out and look up SPSS forums or SPSS newsgroup...you MAY find something in there, but SPSS is expensive. Maybe some of the file sharing sites like kazaa..but I would doubt file sharing sites would have it, possible though.

If one of you guys developed something that took days and nights, would you want someone to just take it and use it for free?

IMO - Too many movies, albums, and software apps are absolute rubbish that lures you in with false claims or shotty previews. I download them ALL for free.....If I find a quality one (DVD,CD,APP) that I keep, I'll go and buy it to support the artist(s), publisher, writer, or programmer. Afterall - you have to support the styles you like and the people that create them for you --- I just look at the whole free music/software thing as extended demos.....

Well said MACHI. I have no problem with people trying my software, and if they decide to use it, they pay for it.
My experience with many people is that they simply take our products (illegaly) and never pay for them. We provide trial versions that are good for a few months, so trying-before-use is not an excuse.

Check the Warez sites. Full of free softwarez, crackz, gamez, etc.

I'm too paranoid now, but I used to download a song or two from a new CD and if I liked it I go buy the CD. I actually buy less cds now for fear of wasting good money on shitty music. So I don't consider what I did as hurting anyone financially.
