there has been reports, by normal users and other people.
and also by explanation.
that police have recovered deleted messagges because its still alive on the nodes. even people with delete message after 1 hour setting.
because the node holds your message for upto 14 days.

Today I tried to talk to someone else on Session, same outcome as usual. According to AI I am not the only one with such an experience.
I can't work with secure BUT the message may or may not be delivered to the other party.
Kinda defeats the purpose of having such a messenger, doesn't it?

ive read reports the app sucks.
particurlar on android devices. maybe ios aswell. web/pc version should be solid, although there are better options on pc.
onion chats come to mind although they're on a server.
most secure would probably be your own server where you can make sure no data is stored at all and encrypt messages as hardcore as you like between two people, but it would be hard to convince somebody else because if you were the feds you could literally hack whoever connects to your server.
so we're stuck with trash ass middlemen. theres some honorable mentions like briar but i havent looked too much into them since nobody uses them.

I would love to join, but I can't work with only getting 50% of my messages pushed through or sent out.
Just tried again and it wasn't even able to send a few kb PNG to the other person.
This program is absolute dogshit. First guy I tried it with is a CompSci student, and presumably a pretty good one, so blaming it not working on my dumb ass is likely not going to hold up against scrutiny.
Will not waste another minute with this crap.

i would probably recommend tg just because that is where shit is going down.
sandboxed vm + reroute all traffic through chains with tor and double sandbox telegram again.
i was working at a cybersec firm when i was 14-16 but eventually gave up on compsci major because i lost interest in programming and endless hours of hackthebox.
all people is interested nowadays is hiring ai guys, not cybersec guys

Maybe I don't know enough about coding, but I can't see why it is so hard to code a working messenger, once you have figured out the basic security stuff, as Sessions apparently has already.

haha im still at a level where im pretty confident i could make it into a big firm with a special position even tho i havent programmed for years.
i just didnt wanna study math at a high level etc so i choose a easier path in life after highschool, i was done studying, basically my education was elementary school level + go learn the work instead of studying, im guessing its called vocational education?
i guess im a little autistic but i utterly hate studying anything im not interested in, its like my brain shuts off, i've tried it but i can read for 100 hours and would not remember a word. like i failed biology 2 times in highschool until it got onto a interesting enough level where i wanted to catch up and ended succeding.
and pshycology. learning about babies? i watched mike o hearn in that class for the whole year
and i spend endless hours on something im interested in without anyone asking me for it
and my schedule is better + better pay, gotta love novo nordisk overpaying their workers.
it just wasnt the right path for me in life. lucky i survived through high school without studying but you aint making me read 1 word at home
