Free testosterone levels

just got back blood work after being on 500 mg test c for 8 weeks of testing a new product. The total testosterone was only at 1789 (250-1100 normal range)but the free testosterone was 592 (35-155 normal range). I'm no blood work expert but the total level seems lower than I was expecting but the free level seems a lot higher than I was expecting. I'm 50 and my normal test level is low. Looking at those numbers what conclusions can be drawn if any?

6 days I think
You should have your blood drawn with in 48 hours(pref 36 hours) of your last pin. You levels would have been much higher if you had. Your last test injection has almost reached its first half life after six days thus almost half has left your system giving you a much lower TT

I was testing my trough. I understand the kinetics. I'm a Ph. D. analytical biochemist. But thanks. You're right if I wanted to see the peak value I would take it in the first 48 hours. But keep in mind the number does change from person to person even with pharma grade testosterone. Some people metabolize faster than others.

The blood work was drawn 24 hours after the last dose. I was expecting somewhere around 3500 for the total, but was expecting much less for the free test levels based on past blood work from other batches of testosterone.
