Freezing Pins

I have a friend that told me that you need to freeze pin for painless injections. He said that he read this in a Steroid book, Steroids for Beginners or something like that. I said that I had never heard of it. Has anyone heard of this?

Never heard that....I have heard of people freezing their syringes if they are going to reuse them in order to keep bacteria growth from happening.

yeah i read that awhile back in MD. they say freezing your pins causes less pain at the injection site due to a numbing effect it has as it enters the skin...no sure if it works

i wouldn't even bother doing this myself...freezing the pin, with it attached to the syringe still, doesn't seem like it would help you overall...b/c if you get the oil's temp down real low, it is going to take forever to inject it...especially if you are using a 25g pin for some quad or delt shots...take care

This is exactly what I thought, when he was telling me this. I was just curious if anyone ever heard of this. I said that it sounded crazy but I would post it on here to see what others thought or heard about it. All I could think about is it sticking to a wet wound, like a tounge on a metal pole on a freezing cold day. Now that would really hurt.

It would make more sense to place ice or a pack on the injection site for a few, before the shot.

I dunno, tho, its never been much of an issue

I Read That In Md Too. They Said That Some Said It Was Painless And Some Said It Hurt More And Some Said It Felt The Same.
