From Starting Strength(natural) -To- a Mass Building Routine(unnatural)

I've done SS for over a year naturally, now I'm starting my first test-e cycle and switching to a mass building routine at the same time.

1) My gym is a barbell, plates, a bench, and a squat rack
2) My upper body is lagging behind.

I need some help programming a completely new routine before I go on. I've never done a mass builder before.

You could try some of Rippetoe's more advanced programs but they tend to be geared more towards strength than hypertrophy. You should have developed a pretty good sense of how your body responds to training and diet by now so you might want to look into hypertrophy specific training (HST) - thinkmuscle.com.

Out of curiosity, after a year of SS, what are your numbers on the big three lifts?

You haven't pinned anything...my point is it is best to gain a natural peak first. AAS is not a natural peak you will never be able to attain the gains you get naturally. Therefore using before even trying to to reach a natural peak is sort of like going backwards. Good luck and cheers to never being natural again. I hope the shortcut brings all that you think it will but we know what they say about shortcuts. You have now entered the realm of the law of diminishing returns.....enjoy. Age?

I've heard this, but I've also heard that it doesn't matter when you start. I can't find evidence that supports either side. Just anecdotal.

Ok lets talk about the anecdotal thing. Since both sides are anecdotal and you are going on hearsay either way:confused:
Will stuff come up in your life when things change.
Will you ever want kids?
Do you have health insurance job/career?
What if you lose it can you afford bloodwork, ancillaries, Dr. visits if something goes wrong?...shit lke that
Will you be i the gym the next 10-15 years?
Yes maybe a few cycles might or might not affect you much when you are young but what if you f#$#ck yourself up and have to go on for life....No kids, paying for it you need a good job health insurance.
I ended up ok stayed natural til after I had my kids good job and so on.
So you are down with russian roulette of anecdotes...I just think this stuff you need to hear but I am sure you know it all anyways that is why you came here asking questions.
Last you wont keep any gains none unless you cycle again and that is truth.
So I hope you are ready. I am by no way bashing you just making sure you really thought all this through. Most guys that argue against this point are young and have no experience. Now if you go on to make millions of dollars then yes by all means. I am done... do what you got to do. No need to reply. Be ready for the unexpected the best advice anyone can give.

I need to footnote here most of what I said came from a comment DemonDosage made in some thread somewhere that I completely agreed with

Yes. Believe me, I've heard this a million times. No offense. It's terribly difficult to start a thread for help without getting this lecture. The real deal is that during SS, I ate in a deficit and went 310lbs -->195lbs:D. After thinking about aas for 8 months, I'm well versed on the risks and I'm okay with them. I'm cycling and cruising, too.

back to the thread topic if you still want to help:
Full body, push/pull/legs/off, or 'x'-day split? I can program my own routine, if I could just pick one of these formats.

You are barely benching your body weight my friend... I would get yhat bench up to at least 275 before pinning- otherwise you will start getting excited about pushing the exyra plates, go up too fast- and you will fuck your shoulders up for the rest of your life.

Age? Height? Bf%? Base testosterone levels you have now? If you answer "dunno" to any of these questions you are not ready my friend.

There is a anecdotal reason why you have not received a response. Just google your question.

I acknowledge that I'm not at the optimal point to start aas. If this disqualifies me from asking for help, then I'll leave. No one owes me any help here.
