Any of you guys eat fruit during your workout, like a banana half way through?
Obviously, an intra-workout drink is more convenient and it's sole purpose is to provide your body with nutrients while you train.
Having a banana can also give you a boost, is easy to digest and extremely inexpensive compared to the intra-workout drink. It's macro profile is obviously different.
Both being considered as 'fuel for training', how would you compare them?
