Sup Meso forum. I signed up recently to improve my knowledge of PEDs, biology, fitness, and nutrition. I'm in my mid 30's and started lifting sometime in my early-mid 20's. I mostly focused on powerlifting with a little bodybuilding for the first few years, then I moved and happened to land in a spot where my closest gym was a legit strongman focused gym. The owner was an absolute beast of an older woman. She used to compete and when she retired she opened her own gym and starting coaching. So I took it as a sign and got into strongman.
After 5 solid years of lifting natty with only a few months off here and there due to injury, I did my first cycle of 500mg test. I made incredible gains, and I was hooked. I PCT'd off, and immediately started plotting my next cycle.
I did a couple more cycles and began BnC, and at the tail end of the last one I entered my first strongman meet. Didn't place in anything, but I had a fantastic time.
Unfortunately that was also my last strongman meet. When covid hit, the strongman gym closed. Life got weird for me in a lot of ways, like it did for many, and I eventually stopped going to the gym.
I finally started getting back into fitness about a year and half ago with yoga. Unfortunately I injured my neck late last year lifting something I should have asked for help with. I tried to just let heal on its own which turned out to be a terrible idea. I just spun my wheels for months until it eventually got worse and then I gave in and went to physical therapy. Starting running a few months ago, and recently finished physical therapy, and I'm ready to get back in the gym. Drives me nuts that I probably wouldn't had been injured had I still had my strength.
Honestly not sure I'll touch AAS again. I'm a scientist, though in a very different domain, so I really love digging deep into the details of how PEDs work. I am meddling with retatrutide and low dose HGH right now, and I've been on TRT ever since my second cycle. I figure it will take at least a year minimum to get back to my natty max, and I wouldn't consider jumping on cycle again until I get back there.
So I'll end this with a question then - anybody ever take a 5 year break or know someone who has? What did their timeline look like getting back into shape?
