Alright, I totally did a 180 and decided to bump my Tirz dose from 10 to 12.5mg this week.
Why? Because I just realized I still have a 50mg vial from Q - and guess what? That splits perfectly into 4 doses.
Felt like the universe was giving me a sign. Now I’m curious to see what kind of extra benefits kick in at this dose.

The anti-inflammatory effect of Tirzepatide is astonishing on the liver and kidneys.
I started the drug in March, and here are the blood test results for liver and kidneys for end May (been on it about 11 weeks with dosing escalating very slowly from 2.5mg to 5mg now as I am responding very well to the drug)
I am a bit shocked at just how effective it is in improving general health.

Apologies, I am UK-based so prior blood tests were done via the NHS (the Dr runs the bloodwork and you then discuss the results in person. You don't get a hardcopy but my liver enzymes were at the max of the reference ranges). This was 6 months ago.
I did the tests privately this time around (BUPA) as I was curious about how my general health markers had potentially changed.

Tirz can cause a very slight increase in resting heart rate and reduction in heart rate variability in a minority of patients because of its interaction with receptors on the vagus nerve. Unless someone has severe heart problems, this is considered clinically insignificant.
This is also one of the mechanisms of action that reduces systemic inflammation. The vagus nerve detects endotoxin in the body and signals to brain to increase inflammation everywhere, as a response to perceived bacterial infection. Endotoxin are cell walls from dead bacteria, so it's an "indicator" of a battle against bacteria somewhere.
For various reasons this system can get hypersensitive and overreacts to false alarms, causing systemic inflammation, and Tirz down regulates the response.
Does anyone know? If I want to switch from semaglutide to tirzepatide, can I continue taking Sema during the Tirz tapering phase?
I'm currently taking 2.5 mg of Sema and would like to switch to 10 mg of Tirz. As long as it takes me to get to 10 mg of Tirz, I'd like to know if I can continue taking the 2.5 mg of Sema. Or can I take Sema 2.5 mg and Tirz 10 mg together permanently?

Don't take both at the same time.
Just go to 10mg Tirz on your next regular weekly dose day to make the switch.

The most common impact from using both simultaneously is diarrhea for a few days. If it happens, get some over loperamide(immodium) to stop it because severe dehydration can set in pretty quickly as a result. Thankfully most UGLs stopped offering that moronic Tirz/Sema blend.
I had zero issues with Tirz when I started - can’t say the same about Metformin.
I’ll never forget that ride from the airport to home… and what happened along the way.
Sometimes it still haunts me in my dreams like a damn trauma flashback.
I didn't have any issues with Tirz initially, until I decided to binge on fatty foods at a family dinner party 3 months later. 3 days of non stop diarrhea...3 days.

I had to use it as part of my insurance's "step therapy" before they'd pay for a GLP.
I welcomed it because it was also considered beneficial by the "life extension" crowd for use by everyone.
Made me feel like shit. (GI issues like yours).
Now it's understood to interfere with muscle adaptation and been dropped by almost all the leading figures in that community since GLPs do a much better job boosting insulin sensitivity and preserving/rejuvinating pancreatic beta cells anyway.

For someone like me that compulsion to eat seems to be the only thing standing between me and an actual healthy diet that will lead to my target weight. Next week I should have received it so I'll report if sema works as well as it seems to do according to 1000s of anecdotal testimonies or if I'm the weirdo outlier to its effects lmao
