Just got the bill for 1mg finasteride $100 for 1 month supply I signed up for goodrx gold annual and got two months free with this code

TRYGOLD60

Takes 2 months off so $100 for a year instead of $120 is not bad. My finasteride went from $100 to $20 using this.

Also first telemedicine appointment for prescripts is $19

I can get the same amount of finasteride at pharmacies here at a cost of 15-20$ without the annual membership. Just using the standard coupon i get for free from them. So i am not sure how much of a saving the paid membership is.

It depends. If you're averaging 3+ prescriptions a month with it, it will usually pay for itself. Whether and how much of a price difference depends on the pharmacy. I see a decent difference at rite aid or Walmart, none at CVS.

It can be shared with family members, and can sometimes be lower than the insurance deductible.

Also looks like that telehealth discount applies to all appointments. $19 per is a bargain for a quick prescription or refill,

I have other prescriptions I feel like i have been over paying a lot so I will take advantage it will end up paying for itself.

Any idea if this is like push?

My push provider is charging me $200 for each 3 months refill on some expensive no-generic meds that my insurance wont cover..

Your visit will take place via text, call, or video.
I see you can do tele-visits via text

Haven't used push, but I've found most of the GoodRxGold providers easy going for new prescriptions or refills of existing ones, some even asking if I needed any other meds at the end of the call.

It certainly helps to mention. you've used X drug before and it worked well, but you don't have insurance now and would like a prescription for it...

Are you locked to a single doctor?
And can everything be done over text? (no calls etc)

Maybe I'll give this a shot

You pick from a long list of providers each time. I try to stick with the "enthusiastic" ones happy to write 90 day scripts (mention it AFTER they agree to write it, "it's cheaper for me as a 90 day fill, would you mind?'") because the default is 30. Most will do 2 prescripts, some 3. I've been lucky, but I have heard some are assholes who are over cautious with everything, I go for the nurse practitioners usually,

And OFC, know where you want it sent into first.

IF THE muthrfkrs would just give me back my scripted 10ml cials of test back to $40… id be all about it

That's where I used to get it without issue (must be the most common thing they write
prescripts for). Then my new doc (vs previous one). picked up writing it but I still filled through goodRx since insurance doesn't cover 10mg in that quantity.

But these days I just throw it in with my India pharma orders. $6 or less per 100 so why not save $50/yr and the hassle. Besides, meds stay much fresher in blister packs vs the bottles we've been using for the last 100 years.

If the standard price is the same as the membership price how is more money saved with more prescriptions. Doesn't make any sense.

I use Goodrx if it is cheaper them my insurance. But that still doesn't show me where the script is cheaper with a membership.

If i want a refill i message my Dr and he sends the script in at no charge.

It can be shared with the family if the family membership is purchased and not the individual one. But that still doesn't explain how the cost is cheaper then the free coupon.

If the membership price and the free coupon cost the same how will you save with more prescriptions being filled?

It's cheaper with gold wherever you see stars on the list. I've seen $3-$15 less.

And if you can take advantage of the telemed service, that's a $30 savings each time.

Seems like it may be a good deal for some But not others. I just checked and none of my meds had gold star pricing. And the only time i have gone to the Dr in many years is if i need a surgery or my test script refilled which i am betting Goodrx doesn't write scripts for testosterone. Or do they?.

Mine was a typo it should have said 10ml vial of test not cialis haha oops… goodrx around me has stopped offering to fill those because its a controlled substance which is super stoopid to me… i have a script give me the cheaper pricing

Nothing controlled unfortunately. I usually tell guys looking for pharma BP or ED meds join for the free month (or months), get the cheap telemed appt, and cancel.

There are other prescription discount cards. Just call and ask pharmacies "I'm a cash payer, do you have any prescription discount programs you use that can get the price down?".

Most do, but will not offer if you don't ask.

I learned this when I asked the pharmacist if he used me GoodRx code, and he said they used another program that was lower. He said they run cash prescripts through them all and use the cheapest result. That's like one in a million. Walmart happily told me cash price for 10 mg Cialis was $1200 for 90, and $900 for 30 Modafinil. (before I ever knew of things like GoodRx).

Soooo the price was $100 for a 90 day supply 90ct 1mg finasterode that I will split into halves. With the goodrx gold it came out to $29 another $5 for needles and syringes not bad…
