Graveyard shift/Training

Hey brothers, I'm working 3rd shift (10:30 pm to 6:30 am),7 nights a week. Anyone else have experience and hopefully success while training with a similar work schedule? All replies and advice is greatly appreciated.

What's your line of work? If it is in construction it helps if you are active and a morning workout will be the icing on the cake.

I did a similar shift awhile back. I liked to go before work. Workout. Shower. Eat. Work.
Only reason for me was if I waited and went after either I was too tired and had half assed workouts OR I had a great workout and ended up wound up and couldnt sleep.

I just joined a new gym that just opened this week.I pretty much have it to myself in the am.Im a welder and some nights work can be pretty strenuous and tiring. It's hot as heck inside the fab shop,so I sweat like a meth head at a police convention . especially on tren. Sleep is my biggest problem. I'm very wound up after the gym and usually get about 4 hours of sleep before work.

I would say to just experiment for a week or so. Try one and if it doesnt work then switch.
You also gotta take into account anything else you have going on. I dont know if you got a wife, a gf, kids, all of the above...

My gf lives with me and has recently started going to the gym with me. She works from 10am to 2pm. Some days we go to the gym before she goes to work some days after.Today we probably won't get there till 3pm and I haven't slept since 9pm last night. I had rather go early but she is not a morning person. (Biotch).

Lmao. I think youll need to coordinate with her. Especially with different shifts, itll actually be considered "quality" time. But with that schedule it mighy be easier for you to get off and go straight to sleep and then train when she gets off. The only problem being if you wait for her and she ends up not going...

That actually happened yesterday. I waited for her to get off work, but she wound up not going because her legs were very sore from the day before. Guess I'm pushing her to hard! I'm considering two workouts per day. Early morning by myself and at night before work with her.

When I worked the 6PM-6AM shift I would go before work. Workout, head to work, down a protein shake and a sandwich while I was driving to work or while I was logging in, etc. right at the start of shift.
