Hey Folks, I'm a newbie to the forum here so thanks for letting me join in.

I'm a 60 year old guy who has worked out most of my life and actually gotten
pretty big for my frame at one time all naturally. I've taken some time off
and am a bit overweight now trying to get my weight and shape back.

Once I'm back in form I'd like to do my first ever cycle of what I will call the
"big boy" supplements. For my first time I want to start out a little light
(and also I'm not crazy about needles) therefore I was thinking about a 6 to 8
week cycle of anavar at 40 mg per day with a pct of Creatin and Arachidonic acid
(Hemodrauulix).

In reading the forum for a while its obvious you guys are truly light years
beyond what I know about the big boy suppliments so I wanted to ask your opinion
on this combination.
Also should I start the pct the day after the anavar cycle ends or should I be
using Creatin/Hemodrauulix in conjunction with the cycle and just carry on with
these after the cycle ends? If so, for how long?

I know this is a lot for a newbie to ask but any help would be very much
appreciated.

Oldbeast.

Get blood work done before you do anything. Do a lot of reading about cycles, then come back with better questions on a cycle. What you are proposing will do nothing for you except potentially create undesired health risks. Be smart about your first dip in the pool.

Welcome to Meso, and there's quite a few members your age on here who've been down that block and there's a wealth of info for older people who lift. Get your diet on point and get to a consistent training regimen first most of all to get the fat off. Also note muscles take longer to recover when you are older.

Here's to a hale and hearty 60s for you old dog :)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the nice welcome and encouragement. I'll take the advise and do more research before posting follow up questions. I would however like to ask a question about the blood work. Is this initial blood work a benchmark or reference point for future checkups or should I be looking for any type of specifics first time out?
As Always, Thanks.

Yes, it's somewhat of a baseline. You'll know what your normal levels are and further blood work while on cycle or off you can determine a number of things. AAS can alter several test values, not just the hormone panel and you can make adjustments along the way.

Check out Burr's Thread, "The Basics of Ordering Bloodwork" in the Steroid Lab Testing Forum. It will provide all the info you need to order the correct lab work. Who knows, you may have low testosterone levels and have your doc check the next time you're in.

If you decide to not go the TRT route, I would recommend starting with a test cycle, learn about using AI's and PCT protocol. In short, have all your ducks in a row before you start. Exercise, training and diet along with proper cycling can enable you to reach your goals. Just be smart about it. Good luck.

Welcome to Meso brother.
A friend of mines Dad ran his first Testosterone Cypionate only cycle at the age of 64 then instead of going through PCT he got onto TRT through his Dr.
Good luck whichever route you take and be sure to always ask questions before you finally take the plunge.

How's he been doing on that? Hopefully he'd put on some size as well as being more active. Old dogs still can learn new tricks lol

He's doing awesome. He has ran one more blast since he has been on TRT. He has never done anything other than good ole testosterone and says he's happy with the results he gets from it. His wife is an avid hiker and always on the go. He says he can finally get close to keeping up with her and she is 2 years older than him, lol. I haven't seen them in a few months since I don't go to the YMCA anymore. Sitting here thinking I should probably at least give my buddy a call and ask him how everyone is doing. Life gets so busy that time just flys by.

That's great..as long as it helped him enjoy life more then its a win! Maybe he should go get jacked as well ;)

Bet your buddy's pleased with how his dad's doing.

I know several guys who are well into their 60s and are decently jacked...and can move some serious weight for their ages.
