I've never been into drinking or anything because I basically feel guilty while doing it...could be doing better things/it would def hurt my gains...so I've never really drank a bunch or anything and it's tough around my age cause when everyone is going out to drink and stuff just feels like I shouldn't and I don't. I have on very rare occasions... I'm not socially awkward or anything like that. I have a few good friends and socialize just fine it's just I'm really not into the whole partying stage..I feel like I'm at the stage where I'm like ok I really really want to be successful in life and that's why I don't partipate in that stuff. What do you guys think? Just been feeling depressed lately tbh. Not really sure why..
 
Drinking in moderation is ok.

But if it's just not your cup of tea i certainly wouldn't feel bad about not doing, it is fun in the moment but is almost always counterproductive.
 
If you don't like partying, then why the fuck are you hanging around a bunch of people who party? You're 20.

You're feeling depressed? Know what I think? No matter how many cycles and drugs you do, shit isn't going to fix your insecurity. It's a steroid forum, not a mental health forum. Bitch somewhere else.
 
@Leancuisine Other guys have talked about stuff they've been through on here so I didn't think it would be a big deal...? This has nothing to do with the drugs or anything...lol just sharing thoughts...you don't have to read it if you don't want to dude.

While drinking really has no advantages for gaining muscle, it isn't unheard of to have a drink every once in awhile.

Moderation is the key to just about everything you put in your body.

If you're using orals, then i would suggest abstaining. Even though the liver is an amazing organ that can hold it's own, i personally wouldn't want to add any additional fuel to that temporary fire.

If you go out with your homies a couple times a month and have a few drinks, so be it. You're human and pleasure comes in many forms, just don't take the pleasure to ridiculous levels of excess.

They've been through real issues. Drug addictions. Relapses. Divorces. PTSD. ANYTHING but your stupid 20 year old "I don't wanna drink but everyone else does" crap. Either fuckin go out, or change the group of people you hang out with. We're not 20. We don't want to hear about your indecisiveness on if you wanna go out or not.

Just be lucky you have the opportunity to do so. I know a whole bunch of people who were in pretty shitty life/death situations at 20. Stfu with your stupid shit.
 
I'd say just continue to not drink. You don't really want to put the liver through more if your already on a cycle and it's not really that great.

Personally, I only drink vodka or spirits which is low cal compared to anything else mixed with like a Diet Coke or such. But then again even I have now stopped drinking and I understands where your coming from because it's almost like once you mention you aren't drinking, drinkers come after you trying harder then anything to get you to drink.

If to mix a shot of vodka with Diet Coke... it has the same amount of calories as just the shot by itself.

Again, this kid wouldn't have to deal with "drinkers" if he didn't hang out with them. The kid is complaining about a situation he continually puts himself in.

Yea but it tastes a lot better when mixed.
 
It's never the drinking or drugs that bother me, but rather feeling too flat to train the next day. That's why I only do it on Saturday nights - Sunday is my rest day.
 
If you're really concerned about losing your gains if you drink, then just don't drink much. Maybe once or twice a month I go out with my woman and I'll maybe have 5-6 beers when I do. I drink water in between every drink, and I'll keep a protein shake in my car. The next day I don't have a hangover at all and I remember seeing a study that showed consuming protein while drinking alcohol will stop alcohol induced catabolism.
 
2 or 3 fine. Moderation. Im an alcoholic. 1 easily turns to 2, then im waking up somewhere wondering how i got there, where is my car? Why is everyone mad at me? I dont remember shit. How did you get pregnant? Your my neighbor for god sakes! I never have more than 2 and most of the time i dont.
 
I'm quite the opposite. I rarely drink but every once in awhile I'll get completely smashed and you know what? I actually feel better after a night of fun and not giving a fuck!!! It feels like a weight lifted off of me and I feel de-stressed. I went out drinking one night with a couple guys from the gym and then next morning we walked into the gym and trained together drunk!!! I was on the couch knocked out and my buddy was like , "wake your ass up, we are training today."

Some of my best workouts were the day after drinking , no bullshit. I'm talking like once every 6 months though. And usually once a year I'll go out and it's all bets off. I may end up at a strip club, waking up in a field, or answering the door to a punch from my wife. (This happened once, I never came home and slept at my brothers house, wife knocked on the door the next morning and I answered the door to a punch. Like literally "knock knock, whose there? PUNCH!!!)
