Looking for a new concealed carry gun and I've narrowed it down to the single stack 9mm glock which is 7+1 with extended mag and the single stack XD-S 9mm 8+1 with extended mag. Anyone have either of these that may comment or have shit either one? Price point is comparable and reliability for both are about the same so is the size of both. Any comments or opinions welcome. Thanks

As long as you can find the mag extension for the base plate so you can rest your pinky finger for the XD, I'd go with go with the Glock.

I like Glocks for concealed carry. But I'm a Sig guy.

If your wantin to go with a personal defense arm, id go woth the subcompact Glock 10mm with a standard 15 round clip. Add on some Extreme Penatrator Ammo an your g2g;):D:cool::cool:

But there are a lot of conversion kits for glocks to shoot other calibers I'm pretty sure.
So for like another $150 bucks you can have a 9mm and a 40.
I think they even have some .22lr conversion kits. That would be badass for the range.

Also still comparing the two,
A down side for me on the glock is there is no safety(some guys would consider that a plus)
I think for that reason for me personal I would choose the XD.
The s&w shields are nice too but they are hard to rack

That is one good thing about the xd.

Yeah they have it. My brother has the xd with the base extension. I'm leaning towards the xd but I like glocks.

Lol I have a s&w .40 double stack 14+1 now and that bitch is so heavy! Kinda looking for something light and small. They also make both in 40 & 45 I believe. If I need more then 7 or 8 shots I either shouldn't have a gun or I'm in some seriously deep shit lol

My carry now

Both are great guns. I recommend you go shoot both then choose. I shot both and ended up with the XD 9. It fit my hand better and I was more accurate with it.
I also just purchased the S&W shield 9mm. The shield is my new favorite and my edc.

That's what my bro suggested. He also has the shield but his everyday carry in now the xd-s.
Gotta find a gun shop around here that has them to shoot I guess.

Both are solid guns as stated above handle and shoot both and you'll be good either way. That said I'm a glock fan boy and they've replaced my 92's for edc.

The 43 is good for single stack. I edc my 26 mostly. My 19 is starting to take over though. Glocks are also easy to upgrade parts in without a gunsmith.

I have a Glock 19 & 29. getting a 26 for CC in the not to distant future, carry the 29 now.

also have a ruger LC9S which the wife uses and loves.

I would go with the glock. I carried a kahr for a while and loved the size but my go to carry gun is my glock 19. Wife carries a ruger lcr.

You see that's just too big of a carry.. I would rather have something smaller, that shoots well, and is concealed nicely.

Diamondback makes a good gun.
