Hams/Quads??

Has anyone out there tried working their Hams before Quads? A while ago I was doing a leg routine in this order... Calves/Hams/Quads. The movements were as follows:

Seated Calf Raises - 3x10-12
Standing Calf Raises - 3x10-12
Lying Leg Curl - 3x8-10
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts - 2x8-10
Single Leg Curl - 3x8-10
Leg Extensions - 3x10-12
Leg Press - 3x10-12
Hack Squats - 2x8-10

Regardless if anyone thinks this is a productive program, my legs grew big time from it. At that time I was not able to do squats because of a condition I had with my foot, but I am doing them now. My major question is has anyone tried doing Squats after doing Hams... I am wondering if I would have stabiltiy issues? The routine above worked well for me because it was mainly all machine movements, but the gym I belong to now has very modest equipment and I have had to revise my program to this..

Leg Extensions - 3x10-12
Squats - 4x8-10
Leg Press - 2-3x10-12
Lying Leg Curls - 3x8-10
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts - 2x8-10
(Calves on another day)

I was thinking about trying to flip flop the Quad/Ham and see how it feels. Maybe trying it once a month or something to really give the hams a shock. Any thoughts that would have on my squat balance would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

i have never done so and can not think of a good reason for doing so under normal circumstances....i consider the squat my core leg exercise so therefore want to preserve all of my strength for that exercise....i do not do any other leg exercise prior to squats even for warm up....i warm up with light squats....

the entire leg is worked by squats....

Thanks for the respnonse. I was just throwing it out there as a change of pace, but I think I get the best Ham development from doing full range Squats anyway. Thanks again.

I've done that...

as well for a change of pace. I prefer to do extensions before squats (as in a superset) if I'm going to do anything before squats.
