Hba1c 5.5 after 4 months of hgh. Next plan of action?

Started on 4iu in December. Went up to 6iu a month ago today.

My hba1c while natty in 2023 was 5.0

I recently started checking my fasted glucose levels and noticed some days I’m 103ish. Most days I’m around 95

I work second shift. Last meal beef broccoli and mixed veggies with a couple tortillas at 3am.

sleep at 5am wake up and check it at 12:30

I take 6iu around 430am shortly before bed.

Unfortunately I never checked my hba1c since 2023 when it was 5.0 but I checked it yesterday because I was a little concerned about the fasted glucose levels approaching prediabetic ranges on some days. Came back at 5.5 which is still in range but barely. 5.7-6.4 is considered prediabetic

I was wanting the opinions of someone with more experience than me.

My plan is to add 1000mg berberine (500mg am and 500mg pm) for now and keep the dose at 6iu

Or should I just acquire metformin?

Keep monitoring my fasted glucose levels and in about 10-12 weeks check my hba1c again and see if it’s improved.

If not then I’ll be forced to lower the dose or cease the hgh all together? Thanks in advance for any insight

How do you know that this is recent? You say that your last test was in 2023.

That said; start a GLP-1 + Berberine + do REAL cardio (180+ minutes weekly Z2+, none of this walking on the treadmill nonsense) and report in 3 months.

Walking on a treadmill works fine for me xD
If walking can get your heart rate up that's fine; it honestly doesn't do anything for me (can't even break a 100). I have to do incline at 10% at 5kmph (which isn't very kind on the ankles) to get to 120-125, and only after 10-15 minutes, lol.

Oh yeah my HR has always been kinda fucked I can raise it easily xD

I do 10% incline 4.0 kmph it goes to 115/120 in 5 minutes and I stay there 25/30 minutes. So I just do a fast walk at that speed no running or anything

Very good for my non existent calf the 10% incline

The 5.0 result was in 2023

The 5.5 result was yesterday.

I do 20 mins on a recumbent bike 7 days a week fasted. Usually sweating after 10 minutes I don’t have a heart rate monitor on mine unfortunately but when I do it at the gym I’m usually around 130bpm the entire time once I get going. And I do the same pace at home. Usually 19-20mph

Regarding the glp1 recommendation I actually took 2.5mg tirz from January 1st to February 14th to assist with an aggressive mini cut. I haven’t taken it since then. That was my first time using a glp1. With that said, I have a lot of it what would be a dose that would help with the insulin sensitivity issue? The 2.5mg made it really hard to eat 2000 calories. And I’m currently trying to grow lol

2023 to 25 is two years; how do you know that your A1C increased after the addition of HGH and not before? It really makes no sense to blame this all on the HGH (alone).

Increase cardio, add a GLP-1 + Berberine and report back in 3 months. Also, if you're currently eating above maintenance you might want to half your progressive phase for a bit until you get yourself more sensitized again.

That's a pretty good level to be at. I might actually try giving this a shot for a couple of weeks to see if my ankles can handle it; it's much easier to watch stuff/play video games during incline walking VS bike or other means of cardio, lol.

thats the drawback , lower back stress so if your lower back is not as strong as you think, you'll know very soon , It is pretty strenuous,,
I personally aim for the type of cardio that works the heart more than it does the muscles, otherwise I feel it starts to tap into recovery too much. that's why cycling is pretty amazing (even more so if you can do it on an actual bike outside). You can get your heart rate up pretty fast and keep it there with very little effort from your quads/it's more so the higher RPM that does it.

Incline walking is also great until it starts to require more lower back; that'd be the cutoff line for me. Elliptical is also great.

i agree , i use the stationary bike , but like you said , outdoor mountain biking was my thing, Until some shit stole my sik ass Canondale , ughhh i hate people,,

Ah ok yea I see what you’re saying. You’re right. Unfortunately I didn’t check it before starting hgh.

What dose of tirz would be enough for the purpose of keeping glucose low? I took 2.5mg per week for six weeks on an aggressive cut recently but never taken it any other time.

Try 5mg a week; it really depends on how much you can tolerate. I would definitely start at 5mg, though.

Give it time
Yea around week 4-6 on 2.5mg I definitely noticed it wasn’t as effective as the first few weeks for sure. I’ll try the berberine first and if that doesn’t help I’ll throw some glp1 in my protocol. I’ll religiously check my fasted bg everyday from now on and see if I notice a decrease. I only plan to run 6iu for the next 8 weeks or so to finish this cycle and then going back to 4iu
