HCG Dosage

Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me confirm if my dosage is correct with the HCG I received. Might be a dumb question but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

The HCG I got is 10000iu and in liquid form (I was hoping it was powder like my last one). I measured it and it seems to be about 1cc/ml or “100” units with the insulin needle in the picture shown.

I am doing 250iu every injection so I wanted to see if I can add sterile water to the solution for better accuracy on such a small dose.

If my math is correct I could add 3ml of sterile water (to the current 1ml of whatever is in there) for a total of 4ml, that way every “10” units of the needle will be 250iu.

Can anyone confirm this is right?

Btw do most HCG’s come with 1ml of water already in them? I can’t confirm this anywhere in the instructions, it’s what I just measured out it to be approximately.

Thanks in advance

If you add 3ml to the current 1ml for a total of of 4ml then yes that would give you 250iu/0.1ml. 10,000/40=250/10=25 or/5=50 depending on whether you have 0.5 or 1ml syringe. I believe the only pharmaceutical brand that comes in liquid form is ovitrelle/ovidrel but that’s rhCG or recombinant hCG so it’s more stable than urinary derived hCG. I think certain ugl brands from India come premixed. I could be wrong there might be pharmaceutical grade urinary hCG that comes premixed but to my knowledge all pharmaceutical u hCG comes in powder + sterile water.

I personally prefer ovitrelle but if I were getting urinary hCG I’d rather get unmixed. You can always pregnancy test the hCG: it won’t necessarily be the best for determining potency but it’ll tell you if it’s real.

I've only used powder form HCG. I would assume the life is effected the same as powder with sterile water vs. BAC water correct? Isn't the Included water just sodium chloride? If I rember correctly, potency was very different on that compared to a longer potency life with bacteriostatic water.

Unless I’m mistaken the only difference you get using bac water is added protection against bacteria, otherwise I don’t think it actually preserves the hormone. Only difference between bac and sterile water is the added benzyl alcohol in bac. And yes the water that comes with powder hCG is sodium chloride. Liquid hCG in the form of ovitrelle is actually better quality than powder hCG but that’s not what he has.

"Many people wonder “what is the difference between sterile water, and bacteriostatic water?” The answer is quite easy to understand and can be explained easily. Sterile water, is water that is sterile and good for a 1 time injection. It does not include anything to prevent bacteria, so once it is penetrated it needs to be used entirely or disposed of. Bacteriostatic water is simply sterile water, with benzyl alcohol added to prevent bacteria growth in the water. Bacteriostatic water can be used for multiple injections spread over up to 30 days. Without the benzyl alcohol the water would not be safe for multi injection use. "

You can make it work if you practice extra caution with perfect sterilization. One of the few times I used powder hCG I only had sterile water it came with and with the rhCG I once had to use b12 and didn’t have any issues but I was careful. I normally prefer and use bac water because it’s safer.

This is all completely different from the actual hormone in the mixed solution degrading from being exposed to room temp or harsh delivery. Bac wouldn’t make any difference in that regard.
