Headache from lift.

Just thought I would ask the question. Anyone get really bad headaches from certain lifts and maybe over doing it?

I was supposed to do Bulgarian split squats of death and opted to try it on hack squat instead.

3 sets of 8 working up to 360 which is fairly light but with a 10 second hold on the bottom on the 8th rep of each set. Then after the 3rd set of 8 at 360 I dropped to 270 and did 8 more with the 10 second iso hold, then dropped to 180 for 8 with another 10 second iso hold and it felt like my head exploded. A couple hours later and it's still pounding, worse when I bend over.

Maybe just got BP too high dunno
 
I have had it happen a few times and always on squats at a maximal attempt. Supposedly it's an over dilation of vessels in the head. The headaches reoccur at near maximal attempts for around 6 weeks, until the vessels have time to heal. The headaches suck, hope you get over it quickly.
 
Check your vitals as mentioned, and then check your bracing technique.

I see that happen a lot with people that breathe into their chests rather than their bellies. Migraine city and neck pain, actually, to a degree over time.
