I'm a new member in these forums, but have used this site in the past to answer questions I may have had. I've been lifting since before i was a teenager, and am now nearing 30, yet due to crohn's disease i have had a hell of a time trying to put on weight/mass (currently 6'7" 165 lbs). I'm a Biochemistry major, currently working towards my degree, but have been able to use what i've learned so far to help with putting on a few pounds despite my illness. I've been considering running a cycle for almost 5 years now, doing plenty of research i the meantime, and have decided that i now feel comfortable enough that it may help, and consider myself ready from what i have learned, and will begin one as soon as i find a reliable, quality source. I know there is always much to learn, and come with an open mind. I thank you all in advance for any knowledge or help which you may give!

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Ya crohn's can be a major pain in the ass, even when it's suppressed and under control. Flare ups are complete hell. I was diagnosed when I was 11 years old, and have been dealing with it ever since, but i've learned to manage the symptoms fairly well. I'm lucky that i don't have any dietary triggers, so I can still stuff my face with the foods that i enjoy, without a worry. Instead, with me stress is the culprit. If i have too much on my mind for too long, and the stress builds to the point it's overwhelming, I always start to suffer from symptoms, which build into a full blown flare up, if not addressed. Despite having control of my diet though, in the end the combination of the disease and being 6'7 has made gaining weight a next to impossible feat despite years upon years of effort. I've found the key to staying symptom free (at least for me) is staying organized, and dealing with problems one step at a time, starting with the highest priority issues, then working the the less significant. Staying focused, yet learning to get enjoyment out of whatever it is i am doing. I guess i've learned some valuable lessons from the disease lol, torturous symptoms aside

Welcome to MESO-Rx! Being 6'7" is challenging enough. Throwing Crohn's into the equation makes it an even bigger challenged. It is good to hear that you don't have dietary triggers. Between flares, what does your caloric intake look like?
