This is Sector51 and here's a little about me:

I am a 42 year old male who has grown interested in stepping up my lifting game as I been rather busy with life and getting over the untimely death of my dad in the past year.

My lifts are at:

Bench: 265lbs
Squat: 315 (not so good due to herniated discs)
Deadlift: 385 (not good either )

Bf is at roughly 25%

Welcome. I have had my share of back issues and then some. If you keep your core strong, you help protect yourself from further injury. You do need to be reasonable though if you want to avoid surgery.
