Hi kid's, bit about me. I was a two sport professional athlete. Cycling and kickboxing. I was just to big for cycling and was never going to be more than a mid level pro. I had kickboxed for fun since I was a kid. After I stopped racing I went all in on Muay Thai. Moved to Thailand the whole 9. Was doing pretty well 24-4. (Natty threw all of it. Yes a natty cyclist )

I got an aggressive auto immune disease. Started eating my hip joints first. Moved on to my lumbar spine and so on. My doc convinced me I needed pain meds. The opiates I was on for 6 years and a lot of them. They turned me into a lazy sack of shit. I was still teaching Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu jitsu but that was about it. And I was half assing that.

I was not eating cause all the opiates made it so I couldn't take a shit. I lost muscle and gained fat. My wife who is always shredded was like "great I married a stud and he turned into a sack of shit." But she stuck with me.

I needed a change. Said fuck the opiates and weened myself off. Been off now about two years. Pain is nuts but I deal. Started working out more to get back in shape. But my body just was not responding. Got my T checked came back low. Doc put me on 200ml of test a week. I guess the combo of peddling my dick off and then years of opiates did a number on my test levels. So the trt brought me hear to learn a bit more about what Im doing.

Right now I'm
6'1 (I was 6'3 but my spine is really compressed and fused)
210lbs (would say I'm kind of skinny fat. Everything shrunk but my gut.)
Not sure on body fat %

My diet is pretty good now. Bit carb heavy I just cant give up the fruits. But every thing is clean real food. Im eating 2300 cal a day. %50 carbs %30 protein %20 fat.

I dont want to grow I want to lean out. The lighter I am the better it is for my messed up joints. But I would like to look and feel better thats for sure. If I could trade 20lbs of fat for 10lbs of muscle I would be happy.

As for my workout. I still teach jiu jitsu 4 nights a week or about 8 hours a week. Would call it both strength and cardio. Lifting is a problem. My joints just dont like it. Been swinging a 50lb kettlebell and that doesn't hurt to bad 50x5 3 nights a week. Oddly deadlifts dont hurt. Been doing 225 5x5 twice a week. I played around with it I started at 325 and backed it down till my joints told me I was good to go. Other than that I'm not lifting much. The light weight I have to do just feels like cardio. So just been doing push-ups 100 a day 5 days a week but thinking about giving lifting another shot.

Fuck am I writing book hear? Any way I really dont have a clue. When I was still competing it just came easy. Get on a bike and peddle and eat a bunch. Kickboxing oh you want me to fight at 185 fine I wont eat so much and cut right before I step on the scales. Want me to fight at 205 cool I get to eat. It all came so easy and I never had to put much thought into it. I was always cut and didn't have to do much for it. So any advice would be very welcome.

Wow first off, welcome to meso...

I just wanna say the issue with the wife and you falling from stud status, does she really refer to you as a sack of shit??? That's horrible man... That's not a healthy relationship.

Anyway if ur gonna cut, just get your diet in check track macros and calories and stick to it!

You don't need AAS for this, you sound like u just need to be confident in yourself and to get back in the game.

No wife has been rock solid! Always! 17 years and she is still my biggest fan. But going from pro athlete to where I am now sucks. Im not doing anything other than TRT my test was tanked. But reading hear I have learned far more about TRT than I ever would have from my doc.
