Hey guys can y’all help me with an L-Carnitine recipe. I want to brew @500mg/ml. Just need a solid recipe to go off of. Also I know L-Carnitine is legal I’m assuming bulk supplements is a good place to source the raws??

you don't need a magnetic mixer. stirring it in a pot while heating is enough. Thanks for sharing the recipes. I am taking notes. Two questions if anyone would be so kind:
Is a magnetic mixer all it takes?
Do you guys know of a good source of raw carnitine for eu?
Imo, anyone brewing should get a magnetic mixer. It's only 50-60 dollars.you don't need a magnetic mixer. stirring it in a pot while heating is enough.
and a source? anything goes really, as long as it's l-carnitine tartrate.

Oh fuck lol just checked, yeah I used the base too. Important in my case is to inject super slowly, this way it doesn't form a bump and absorbs immediately instead of staying in a lump for a couple days. No, you want to use base l-carnitine.
Using l-carnitine tartrate will sting pretty bad, my recipe posted was super smooth.
L-carnitine base can be found at bulk supplements
How's the PIP?I just made a 100ml vial yesterday. Pretty straight forward recipe. 50g of l carnitine from bulk supplements, 70ml distilled water, 1.5ml benzyl alcohol. Add the powder very slowly into the water on the hot plate with the magnetic stirrer set semi quickly. Draw up, push through wheel filter into a vial and done. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish of setting up, bottling and putting everything back away. Comes out to 100ml at 500mg/ml
It's pretty typical for l carnitine, although admittedly my last run with l carnitine was from a horse medicine company and was in 100ml vials of 200mg/ml so I was injecting 2ml a day (I identify as a bovine)
It hurts like a motherfucker the first couple times going in but then once the muscle gets used to it it just stings a little going in and some very mild soreness for pip
That's interesting to know. Maybe the next batch I'll adjust the PH. I just bought a digital ph meter for a glutathione brew someone posted on here that I want to give a shotI have found the closer I am to the 6.5 pH, the less pip I have. I have a batch at 6.2 pH and brewed at around 700mg/ml. No pip. I kinda get that uncomfortable muscle expanding sensation but that goes away pretty quick.
PTFE filters are ok to filter aminos like carnitine right? What do you use to raise the PH baking soda?I have found the closer I am to the 6.5 pH, the less pip I have. Nah. I haven't used PTFE. Those are hydrophobic (unless you can get them in hydrophillic) and don't work well for water-based solutions, in my opinion. I use PES hydrophillic filters for l-carnitine.PTFE filters are ok to filter aminos like carnitine right? What do you use to raise the PH baking soda?
What's HCL?Nah. I haven't used PTFE. Those are hydrophobic (unless you can get them in hydrophillic) and don't work well for water-based solutions, in my opinion. I use PES hydrophillic filters for l-carnitine.
As for pH, l-carnitine is inherently base. So you have to acid it up. I use HCL to bring the pH down to around 6.5.
