So When I am home, I train at a small gym in a small town. It is a mainstream gym but at 6:00 in the evening I am one of only ten or so people in there. People are friendly and I try to be as well although a fat "trainer" keeps giving me the stink eye.:) I was lookin at the board with gym records on it and they are very sad. Some dude has a 375 lb squat and a 505lb dead. Not to sound like a prick but I could warm up with that. I was super strong before steroids and now even more so. I am just starting to feel kind of awkward and feeling like a poster boy of steroid use to these people. My physique is'nt even good anymore yet I feel it is obvious to everyone that I am using. Should I ask for a record spotter? [:o)]

Some people are just jealous..... I wouldn't worry about it. Ask the fat trainer if your form looks ok to him while you deadlift 600...

It is better to ignore everyone around, just put some headphones and do your routine. You don't need any opinions or small talks with other guys. If yo need a spotter you can ask everyone to help you for a minute.

As long as you ain't raging and throwing weights around people only stare because they want your physique, your just being paranoid. I think that's how I feel sometimes too and I'm on my first cycle now, they probably want advice and your taking it the wrong way..

You could always go back to your wife's gym and work out with the trany. Just an option.:D

Man that tranny was pretty strong but I'm no fan kettlebell work. I did see a 50 year old bodybuilder at my wife's gym. He had an Amazing physique and his wife (who was much younger) obviously competes. My gym is not so bad. We started meeting at 3:45 am everyday so the place is empty. Last time I trained at peak hours, I met a couple cool people too.

You should feel good about it.. I bet everyone is jealous... Just cause your lifting heavier than everyone else doesn't necessarily mean everyone is going to think your on juice either.. There are lots of powerlifters and guys with natural strength who aint on gear..

Bro..i would be happy and not complain..right.. just throw on some headphones and do your routine..

..cmon you know how its is..peak hours with a gym that's a straight zoo packed with people..gotta wait to get a bench or ask to jump in on a machine..and supersetting different equipment one to the other...good luck..
...personally though I klnow mabey what you mean when you get stares or eye contact from people in the gym cause your skin is flush red, and vascularity Is paper thin with veins like a road map, and your muscles are bulging with glisten of sweat during a pump on a set...people want that..duh

..try working out with sunglasses on..it helps me focus more and I notice less people pay attention to me...lol...

Hell yeah I hate public gyms... My powerrack was the best investment I've ever made by far... I can really stick to precise resting periods and that is very important IME....
