I was at the gym today, stretched and did seated shoulder presses, 6 sets various reps. I moved on to shoulder shrugs warmed up with 225, then skipped up to 315, did about 2 sets of 10. Then jumped up to 405, did 2 sets of 10. On my third set about 4 reps in, I feel a snap in my right trap. I immediately loose strength and feel shit isn't right. I lower weight to 315 and attempt to do more sets, I feel my trap is not right. I put the weight down, skip on to upright rows and notice my strength is not there. I finish upright rows and move on to abs. Once at home I can visually see my right trap is not the same shape as my left side. Obviously the pain starts to set in at this point and I have been popping Ibuprofen, tramadol, and muscle relaxers. My girl has been massaging my trap and said she can feel the difference in size and hardness from the other side. My question is, do I need to go to the emergency room, or should I give it a couple days to see what happens? Has anyone experienced this kind of thing? Please help?
