Hello. I'm finally taking the leap and joining. I've been reading through for a bit now debating whether or not to do a cycle but now my mind is made up.
I'm 25, 6'4 ~22% BF @ 245lbs. Currently serving in the military and train everyday sometimes twice or three times a day. Had an groin pull about a year ago which has kind of put me back quite a bit but the muscles still know what it feels like to be strong. I've done some research, but the more research I do the more questions I seem to have. Instead of me beating my head against the wall I figured I would come join the community. And with anything you get as much as you put in so I plan to contribute as much as a can once I get going.
Current lifts:
Bench 260x5
Squat 225x5 (still working on increasing the mobility in my hips and groin before I push into heavy numbers. I'm hoping being on cycle will help my rehabilitation with the decreased recovery time. I was putting up about 315 before the injury. Tried 330 and went a little too low for my mobility and *POP* groin pull..)
Deadlift 350x5 (Currently working my way back up to where I was. After getting injured I stopped lifting heavy on legs for a few months. My 1RM before was about 450 raw.
Goals: To be honest I'm not into getting as big as I possibly can. Being in the military I need to be able to run 2 miles in around 12:30 and 5 miles in about 30:00. I'm also a paratropper so between the running and the jumping I really don't want my knees to rot away on me. I'm looking for more of a gymnast physique with with powerlifting legs. My workout routine revolves around weighted dips and pullups, squats / Bulgarian split squats, deadlifts, bent over rows, and standing press. I throw some power cleans and stuff on my light deadlift days. For cardio i'm doing a round of Insanity every other day with speed rope work and boxing on the other days.
One of the problems I have which has made me wary of starting a cycle is the fact that I have slight gyno from puberty. I've talked to the doc and he said I would be eligible for surgery if I can get down to around 10-12% BF. I think this has more to do with a recommendation from him rather than a set rule.
For my first cycle i'm planning something like this
Week 1-11 Test e 500mg
Week 13 Test p 300mg
Week 14 Test p 400mg
Week 15-16 Test p 500mg
Week 18: 40mg nolva/day, 100mg clomid/day
Week 19: 30mg Nolva/day, 50mg Clomid/day
Week 20: 20mg Nolva/day, 50mg Clomid/day
with Arimidex on hand during cycle for when I get bloated or itchy nipples.
I've been reading a bit about hcg but I need to look into it a bit more before I throw it in there.
Well I hope to learn a lot and, like I said earlier, contribute a lot to this community. I really respect the no-bullshit attitude around here.
