I know you take Cialis every 72 hours. I'm wondering how if affects your heart rate because when I take it, it makes my heart beat extremely fast. I know you said the side effects wear off eventually, but they haven't worn off for me, which is why I'm reluctant to take it.

Maybe it's because I have been taking a generic version instead of the real thing. But people who have reviewed the same generic brand say it's great. It does work, but at one hell of a price.

Every time I take it, my face gets all red and my heart beats extremely fast. In other words, I'm not in the most sexual mood.

Can you take your BP after taking it when you feel your worst. Are you taking it every 3 days if not this is why try cutting it in half and taking it every 3 days the sides go away in about the 3rd. pill.

I've actually cut it down into quarters, but instead of every three days, I was taking a quarter every day so I would end up taking a whole in whole four days. But that caused me to get red and jittery and feeling like shit every day I took it instead of only the first day.

Yesterday, I took a third of a pill for the first time in more than a week because my girlfriend was coming into town. So, that of course, got me all red and jittery and feeling like I needed to lay down, even though my heart was pounding furiously and my hands were shaking.

When I checked my BP on one of those drugstore machines, it was 129 over 81, which is slightly lower than normal because usually I range in the mid 130s.

But my heartbeat was 116 BPM, which is way above average.

Today, the red has subsided as well as the fast heartbeat, but I'm sure the benefits of Cialis have also subsided.

You should not take Cialis more then evrey 72 hrs. it lasts for over 48 hrs and taking even small amounts will lower your BP this is why your feeling like this do you take it with food. The day I take it in the morning after eating I get a little red and feel my heart rate go up some but it only lasts about an hour but I konw after this that it is a good time for sex.

I have used some of the generic viagra too... the fast heart rate is probably due to the body trying to compensate for the drop in blood pressure as blood vessels have become dilated from the cialis. Perhaps you are taking too much.

Matt I feel you right but this side went away or was not as bad doing it every 72 hrs.

Skeptic,

I get the same reaction from Levitra/Viagra/Cialis. Levitra has the fewest side effects for me - also works the best. Some guys just (unfortunately) suffer from more side-effects on these drugs. I've learned to live with/cope with the racing heart and flushing from Levitra. (I also get the blurred and bluish vision side effects and, later, after the boner has "worn off," headaches.) Thing is, the stuff works so well, I'm willing to put up with the side effects. I usually find that if I get into the sex enough, I forget about all the side effects. Perhaps, as PmGamer said, your side effects will eventually go away (if you take Cialis regularly enough). Aside from the side effects, does the stuff work for you? If so, I would just mentally train yourself, as I did, to ignore them and enjoy the sex - Mind over matter type of thing. My 2 cents -

Mac

P.S. - You may be a little nervous about the racing heart - Don't be - It's not like you're going to have a heart attack or anything. It's just a racing heartbeat - That's all....and it goes away in a few hours.

Yes, the Cialis does work for me, but the sides were horrible.I think the extremely fast heartbeat had something to do with the Adderall I take for my ADHD.

However, twice this week, I've taken Cialis at around 8 a.m., then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. Then when I wake up, I take my Adderall. I notice this way, the side effects are not so intense.

For some reason, Adderall taken after Cialis doesn't get me as jittery as Cialis taken after Adderall. And the red face is less pronounced as well.

Cool,

It looks like you may have found a solution! Good luck. Hey, as you probably already know, Levitra and Viagra are a lot more short-term than Cialis. Have you tried either of these?
