HGH and Muscle Wasting

Does GH cause or enhance muscle wasting? I did not think it did, however I seem to be loosing muscle (on a small scale but losing it nonetheless) since I been taking GH and was wondering if the GH itself will in fact cause muscle wasting if you're not careful. Or, if I should not blame the GH for muscle loss but look else where to figure out what seems to be the culprit.

There's no way it should cause muscle wasting.......I'd look at other factors. What else are you taking with it? What's your diet like (% protein)? What's your height/wt/bf?

Are you assuming muscle loss because of less muscle definition, if so that could be caused by you retaining water with the growth, how long have you been using it and what make is it? are you sure of the supply? Are you taking the growth post cycle or whilst on? As my learned friend remarked it is impossible for growth to cause muscle loss, even on the extensive tests on very old rats amounting to 1000's of animals that we have tested NONE have lost muscle because of growth

Thanks Bros... Well I'm glad to know for sure that the GH will not cause any muscle loss. I didn't think so but I thought maybe it might if the diet wasn't exactly flawless:-( My height is 5' 7", 170#, sorry to say I'm not sure about bf was 18% last time I checked it (time to invest in a bf counter). My diet was less than perfect but I have just recently started a new and strict low carb, low fat, protien (1gm per/body weight) diet. Was eating way too may carbs I've also started cutting down on the times I eat as to not induce insulin around GH shot time.

I am assuming it's muscle loss and "not" loss of definition because even though energy has increased, I look softer and strength has not really increased at all and it's been around 6 weeks now. I was expecting to see some strength gains by now (even if only a small amount). I'm also taking a small amount of test and some thyroid. Workout 3x per week. Just recently stopped the cardio cause I thought it might be adding to the muscle loss. I guess the source is OK, gave it the old preg test for HCG. Well, at least I'm not pregnant so perhaps it's the good stuff.

One could make good arguments for and against trying to induce an endogenous insulin spike at or near the time of GH administration, but that's a different story. When you say "some" thyroid, how much does that mean? Also, 1g/lb of bodyweigh for proteint isnt much at all, especially while using test and T3. I take in at least 1.5x off cycle and at least 2x while on cycle. I'd increase the protein and be sure total caloric intake is sufficient and reintroduce the cardio. The sooner you reduce that bf% down, the more apt you'll be to realize better gains from test (or anything else for that matter).
