HGH, T3, & the Thyroid

Some confusion here with regards to hGH & T3 use and the thyroid. This has never been the best forum for GH information (unless I give it;)), but I'm going to ask this anyway: GH is said to sometimes shut down thyroid activity. To counter this, it is suggested that cycles of T3 be run. T3 mimics the effects of Thyroid activity so all sides from lack of thyroid activity are now covered. But by doing this, won't T3 use also shut down the thyroid, so when the T3 is stopped, one will be worse off than before? What, exactly, does T3 do for one when on a GH run?

but that doesn't mean you dont have an underling thyroid problem or as my suspicions have been directing me that tren causes thyroid suppression. also messed up iron and ferritin levels are a sign of thyroid problems.

Thanks, brother. These are facts worth considering. T3 on the way!

I'm glad your pursuing a complete evaluation of the symptoms described earlier including, I suspect based on your description, an EGD and colonoscopy. Unquestionably anemia could account for essentially all the complaints you described earlier. Nonetheless, even though hypothyroidism can also cause similar symptoms diagnosing and treating a significant primary etiology such as "symptomatic anemia" takes precedence with thyroid tests being deferred until recovery has ensued. This is of particular importance in your case (rHGH supplementation) because TFT's are not as reliable during periods of "illness" and obtaining TFT's while "sick" may result in a misdiagnosis of hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism or (euthyroid sick syndrome, reverse T-3 syndrome, etc)! Consequently thyroid lab tests are often deferred until recovery has occurred (in your case correction of the anemia). Once you are "well" have TFT's obtained especially if you continue to have "hypothyroid symptoms", since only then will you and your doctors be able to answer your original guestion with confidence!
Wishing you well my friend,
Jim
