tldr: I’m jay, 47 M. I’m still very obese but not morbidly obese anymore. Looking to cut another 50 pounds, then try to gain muscle. Looking for feedback.
Hi there, I’m Jay. I’m a 47 year old man 5’9, 275. A year ago I weighed 502. Mounjaro was life saving for me. I had many health problems including type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, as well as multiple hormonal issues. All of these diseases are now well controlled but I’m on a lot of meds. Bloodwork is vastly improved. Restarted TRT about 3 months ago. Still dialing it in but am feeling much better.
Current protocol:
50 mg Test C eod
350 ius hcg eod
.25 anastrazole eod
.25 cabergoline 1x per week
3.33 ius HGH ed
10 mg Mounjaro (Tirz) every 5 days
HGH is ugl. Insurance pays for 10 mg Mounjaro pens, 1x per week. Going to supplement w ugl.
Originally injected glp every 7 days. Mounjaro had started to lose effectiveness on days 6&7. I tried upping dose to 12.5 mg pens but that didn’t work- first two days couldn’t eat at all then days 6&7 suppression was non existent. Have done every 5 days for a few weeks and it’s much better. Obvious issue is that I will have to supplement with ugl Tirz.
Health is now decent. Bloodwork good, chronic conditions under control. Don’t even snore anymore. Don’t want to compromise health gains.
Main goal is to cut down to 225, then pause and try to put muscle back on.
Nutrition is pretty good. Tirz has really changed the way I eat. I consume 2200 calories, 250 grams protein per day. This is a comfortable deficit.
Training is a work in progress. I work out with a trainer 3 days per week. I lift on my own 1 more time. Push pull split. I walk 15k steps per day, do intense cardio 4x per week. 1 rest day. Am making notable strength increases despite dropping weight.
Questions:
Thanks,
Jay

Questions:
- How best to work in the ugl Tirz? I don’t want to stockpile all of the pens in case I need to go up in dose. Have a kit of ten 30 mg vials. Was thinking I’d use two vials, will last 30 days, then use 4 pens, will last 20 days, and repeat?
- Any feedback on general strategy of cutting another 50 pounds, then trying to add back muscle? I’ve been at a deficit for so long that I’ve considered trying to just bulk up now. But being this heavy still contributes toward health issues.
- Anything else you’d suggest training, nutrition or PED wise I’m all ears. I’ve learned a lot from reading this forum.
Thanks,
Jay
