High Estrogen and Itching

I've seen this symptom mentioned several times on forums but to date have yet to see anyone post a clear solution.

My own experience is as follows:

I've been on TRT for about 7 months now. 2 months ago I started developing a really irritating whole body itch. It was noticeable all the time but would feel like a hot flush/crawling sensation when my body warmed up for exercise (once fully warm and sweating it would generally dissipate. There were no clear changes in this time that may have led to symptoms developing and my dose has always been 150mg T weekly and 500IU HCG both split into 2 x weekly.

The itching prompted me to get bloods done through my doctor as my main hypothesis was that my HCT was elevated. Bloods revealed my Test (1400 ng/dl) and Estrogen (89.3 pg/mL) were very high and that my Ferratin was also low (17). My HCT was 47 and liver enzymes were all normal.

I've since started an anti-histamine which has definitely helped manage symptoms. I've also reduced my dose to 105mg weekly with 500HCG as I obviously want to resolve this issue but also don't want my test sitting too much above physiological levels long-term. I will update in a few weeks with any developments.

Just to note I was having no side effects other than the itching despite the elevated E21. BP was 110/70, no acne or negative mood etc.

Change your gear.
Try a different source.

Yeah i experience that itching occasionally too, but it has also been an issue before I ever even started test, when my e2 was absolutely still in check. I tend to find thay feeling occurs mostly when my body is trying to start sweating but isn't there just yet. Once its flowing, um all good

This is interesting as I suffer from something somewhat similar. However mine starts as I'm begin to get clammy skin, or when I get wet briefly via shower, water hose, pool... Just like you as I sweat, or continue for a while it immediately disappeared.

It's located primarily on my upper inner arms, and inner thighs near knees. The itch sometimes is unbearable. No rash, no hives, just pins and needles itch.

I've had every blood test, allergy test, and
nothing was conclusive as to why. I've changed laundry detergent to free and clear options and still no relief at times. It also doesn't happen all the time. So now I'm wondering if it is in fact estrogen based.

Drs have routinely informed me of a condition called aquagenic pruritus. It seems to fit the bill.

Take a small iron supplement. You need one anyway and iron deficiency can decrease histamine degradation and compromise oxidative stress response. Iron supplements can cause some GI issues, especially nausea, so start low and take Vit C to improve absorption so you don't have to take as much. Something in the range of 40-60 mg is a good idea, but that's just the iron... subtract the mass of the sulfate, gluconate, or fumarate. It should be on the label.

Yes I've started taking 40mg of elemental iron EOD as another possibility is the low ferritin.

I've never experienced it prior to this. I still get a small bit of it with the antihistamines which is annoying but very much manageable. At its worst it was extremely annoying and nearly a constant irritation too just worse as I begin sweating.

I know itching is a symptom that could be caused by hundreds of things that's why I want to change one variable at a time to try rule in or out causes one by one so I can get to the bottom of it hopefully.
