Blood work after 4 years off. Shbg high, free t low despite having a good total t. Transferrin saturation high. Supplementing with boron and magnesium. If tests in 6 months still show high shbg, would it be worth considering trt? Thanks.

50-55 is a normal number for non enhanced, you're a little over that but not too much since there are guys with 90+ SHBG. I'd like to see the reference range in your sex hormones at least, TT, FT, SHBG, PRL and the thyroid ones. Going to TRT due to having a not decent FT while you maintain a good TT sounds too quick to me.

I'm sure there are other methods to try before commit to a lifetime decision. Some ppl are getting away with boron, other need proviron. With proviron most definitely your FT will raise and SHBG will drop, but i'm not so sure this is something sustainable because eventually even proviron might shut you down.

I had the same issue and just increased my dose to get a higher free T

He says he's not taking gear.

I was having low T symptoms with a 900+ total. My SHBG was just over 100 due to a medication that I have to take for epilepsy.

After 5 years of TRT my SHBG has been cut in half. It was worth it to me.

Proviron is meant to help lower SHBG, but it may or may not lower your testosterone as well.

If you’re taking less than 10mg boron, consider 10mg.

If your free T doesn’t go up, consider TRT. Maybe HCG monotherapy if you’re ballsy enough
