high stored iron (hemochromatosis), longevity protocol.

eh guys,

not planning on being uber juicy or anything just more here for some biohacking info while staying safe.

as title says I have hemachromatosis which is high stored iron, which basically causes systemic oxidation along with fatty liver cirossis, heart damage, diabetes along with fatigue and joint issues. fortunate I'm getting on it before(I hope) to much damage and had to force the issue finally although avoided it for many years. the fatigue is just too much no joint pain and my skin hasn't changed color yet which is hopefully a good sign. some folks get low T or even low hgh(or high) depending on where your body wants to store the iron(balls brain or liver or heart pancreas etc)

I have had sleep issues since a small child, and understand now I run on adrenaline as can feel the fatigue go away after the dump and give anxiety/heart pounding when try and sleep when nothing is really stressing me out. also gut issues for most of my life that mostly have gotten better. even was hospitalized when was in middle school and never found out what I actually had, some food born coli listeria, was not fun.

I am seeing/calling the specialist in a few days gastroenterologist and I think specializes in liver aswell. so will push for a full work up of Test ag1 and maybe GH levels. as imagine will just focus on heart and liver enzymes and more about the physical blood vs just ferritin and non stored iron levels. Ive always had BP 220118/67(70) range. did a quick one at the pharmacy with a jacket and shirt on and came back alot higher 139/72 or around there so pushing having high blood pressure but prob just from improper test with jacket as would be strange to jump from lower BP to high BP in 3-4 years (last time I checked). I know covid has caused this sudden increase in BP for people I know but I've never had covid. no symptoms of HBP, but who knows maybe the hemochromatosis is starting to fuck with my heart OR just bad test lol which is likely. anyway not really part of why I'm here.

anyway, if anyone has anything I should look into or more importantly stay far away from let me know

I am interested in peptides and low dose HGH,(although nervous with diabetes risk), get the peptides that work the best prob carry more risk.

DSIP entilon melatonan 2 are a couple peptides that peaked my interest. depending on hgh and T levels may look at some that may help, but the grhelins sound like basically put ur body into panic mode and I'm all set on that had enough trauma/stress as it is. thankfully not a tonne of cancer, dad(and auntie and uncle) had polyps(80yo now and no cancer, just HBP diabetes kidney disease, but he stopped drinking in his 30s and smoking aswell as leads pretty stress free life mostly outdoors fishing and hunting. he eats pretty balanced despite recent fuck it towards candies, but tries not to eat too much potatoes or bread lol) grandpa died of colon cancer.

anyhoo, basically I'm weak minded already and fatigue from high iron does not help. B vitamins will keep me awake if take a high dose even in the am. starting to get back on cardio currently no weights and look like a rhino riding a chicken lol. skinny arms and legs and 100% of my fat stores are in my belly and tits. lol if could even out my fat I would look 100X better. assume this is from genetics/cortisol levels from my understanding cause belly fat stores. and makes sense wi fatigue/insomnia and running off of adrenaline and down stream increasing cortisol.

no real joint pain from hemachromatosis yet which is good but my knees were bad when I was young and then dislocated ripped some NCL and caused weakness for many years any turn I could feel it want to pop out, still bit weak but not nearly as bad as it was despite being 30-40 lbs heavier now/prob got better at not putting ANY torque on my knees. but they are creaky AF lady bugs me when we go up stairs she can hear them creak and crackle (no real pain though), and is kinda gross if hold ur hand to them u can feel the crunchiness lol. prob could be midigated by training them as think weak knee caps can cause this. a peptide or HGH that may help protect those ligaments and cartilage would be great, but sorta nervous as something that causing tissues to grow prob comes with cancer risk wether or not they have found it yet. but perhaps some can help ligaments.

annoying they are suppose to start hemachromatosis treatment after 300, but DRs always said yes its high but people have it much worse lol prob cause symptoms dont get bad till over 1000, but of course cant repair damage at that point. normal is like 20-75 ferritin mine was just under 500 and hasn't risen much in 10-15 years since last blood test however I did give blood, but still not progressing which is great. prob because basically stopped drinking which raises iron absorption and bit more careful about eating too much vitamin C and supplements with no iron. (those increase absorption)

so basically looking for folks who have same disease genetic common in eastern euro and Scottish I think, and what they did. I've heard treatment has DRASTICALLY helped people which is awesome to hear. But also want to delve into some EXTRAs with a little biohacking. Piracetam I really liked back in the day, may try modafinil but think its bad for your liver and hard enough to sleep as it is. I am pretty sensitive to stuff and often get weird reactions, not sure if was viral myocarditis back in university or if was from antibiotics(stopped after read about antibiotics causing heart issue) but it was brutal heart hurt left arm heart so much I couldn't sleep had to leave class from the pain, and I went to ER but didn't care said better go to GP, who took an Xray to tell me it wasn't my lungs.. I KNEW it wasn't my lungs. and Ritalin made me fall asleep first time I took it when they tested me for ADD lol, and not like it doesn't give me stimulation either.

IN SHORT:
any reccomended peptides? sleep longevity fat lower cortisol nootropic
anything I should ask for in blood work besides Test? sex drive a bit down and dont f as much anymore so cum quick like a bunny.
worth even messing with 1iu HGH?
what to avoid with possible liver issues and potential diabetes(guess find out A1c and go from there?)

still looking around to try and find proper source, found canadabiolabs . co sells canadapeptides (although know OG owner died and haven't seen 1 person mention them but have full line of canadapeptides, but domestic-supply still carries there somatropin, and maybe just trying to scam using 2 well known names canbiolabs and canadapeptideS in red package ) which may be sketchy? canadapeptide seems ok and see odd positive review. CMS sounds ok but bit more money and imagine just QSC/chinese. SOOO much shill and other boards saying others are scams, finally find a good one I think and then read something negative. anyhoo for another discussion

AAANYWAY sorry for the convoluted poorly written nonsense. if have any questions let me know so can be more to the point.
THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ!

yup 10X normal levels. iron stores ie ferritin.
sorry I know I suck at communication! English is my first and only language lol.

The he place I donate blood to has a person doing weekly dumps because of his iron is so high.
Talk to a specialist about it or your doctor can prescribe therapeutical draws

I'm on it appt tom!! FINALLY. most drs shrugged when saw very high iron for YEARS(nbd people are higher, meanwhile causes damage admit though I could of always pressed harder) and finally got one to give me a refferal then 6 months no call, made a call got me in in 3.5 weeks! lol thats fast btw after the call. got alot of needles in my future and imagine will be giving 5-6 viles for the workup. not sure if its good or bad but will loose alot of hard won antibodies apparently. assume will be 2-3 litres of blood in a month.

interesting, here they won't accept it more than once ever 2 months or so regardless which is silly as then go to hospital and just toss the blood out, and donation used to maintain after the major dumps.

If you have high iron the blood donation centre has to take it and dump it. The specialist will sort it out hopefully.
It’s hard work trying to get a doctor to help you. I have had a bit of trouble with high RBC and it’s hard to get to a good level. Just keep at the doctors until you get fixed.

here they use the donated blood even with high iron. but I think its a new thing. anyway yes most will be dumped just through hospital phlebotomy.

now to find some knee cartilage peptides lol. prob try epsilon and DSIP. some melanin 2 nasal spray to get lady involved. not sure why hgh intrigues me but its does lol...

Interesting. I've just found out I've head high iron (transferin sat > 70% atm) which I'm linking to my bad sleep, anxiety, low free T/high shbg, gut issues (also have Gilbert's), loosing hair (got it back after my first blood donation), ADHD, high pulse pressure, etc ...

If you want to use PEDs, you'll have to take something to chelate iron out of your body. Frequent blood donations without chelation are a problem, as you are also lowering hepcidin and thus you can potentially end up with iron avidity.

Androgens and GH both lower hepcidin so be careful. But keep in mind, chelation will be a must if you decide to dabble with PEDs. I fucked my self quite badly without knowing I had this. It's totally treatable, even if you decide to cycle I presume it can be taken care off.

Your blood pressure indicates an elevated pulse pressure. Mine is even higher at 60. Pulse pressure is an indicator of arterial stiffness (or something like diastolic dysfunction) which normally goes up with age but can go up earlier if you have something like high iron or are diabetic, fat, etc. It's a pita as you can also have potentially lowered blood floe to the brain via something like subclavical arterial stenosis.

hmm yes I dont know my saturation.

did u have high ferritin too? is it genetic hemachromatosis u have? me ~500 but stable over 15 years. so not crazy bad. but clinically ur suppose to treat at 300..

chelation sorta sketches me out and they normally do phlebotomy many times in a month and the can do touch ups from what I hear.

no idea about hepcidin but quick google sounds like it decreases blood iron I'm guessing making it stored iron/ferritin? and when folks had tutors producing to much of it they had anemia...

I was thinking micro 1iu hgh for little benefits and sides lol, but hopefully can get a work up and go from there, who knows maybe have to much already causing fatigue.

and some major antioxidants is prob what I should be after...epitilon apparently, maybe others?

1iu is nothing. Your natural levels are probably higher or the same.

Do some more research on hepcidin, chelation and androgens, if you decide to dabble in this.

Do you take any supplements? Do you supplement with copper bidglycinate? A lot of times, even though this condition is "genetic", it's the result of copper imbalance/deficiency.

I think copper can help absorb iron but doesn't lead to stored iron. mostly just avoid vitamin C and alcohol. will def look more into it though. its been decades with high iron and is a genetic deal.

You misunderstood me. You probably need to supplement with more copper.

True chelation (not herbal cilantro parsley) is frowned upon and is non specific and unless heavy metal poisoned best not to strip you body of minerals.. but yes CAN be used they say for high ferritin.

I guess the 1iu would bring it higher than normal levels, not sure it replaces hormones already there, rather increases them if even by 1iu.

good news he said my liver is chill and just get a genetic test (already know I have the genetic re 23 me) and see here in the summer lol... for a minute it seemed like she didn't want to do anything as I am not in the bad category...and prob just a sack of shit and stop making excuses why ur fatigued u fat f'r.. lol

What do you think about using IP6 for iron chelation?

What do you think about using IP6 for iron chelation?

I've got one bottle underway. Haven't tried it yet but supposedly it's a proper chelator, on par with pharmaceutical ones ... However, I don't know how selective it is towards iron vs other metals and minerals.

some edta from local farm and garden ;) I wonder if it chelates magnesium at higher amounts than other metals, and since the stuff is everywhere part of why folks are low in mag... hmm

to lower ferritin you can also think about donating some blood... it's a safe and natural way, your body will use ur ferritin stores to make new red blood cells and u can also help save someone's life, so it's a win-win situation.
But u cannot do so while on PEDs of course, You'd need to wait till u are off.

"weak minded already and fatigue"

"I am seeing/calling the specialist in a few days gastroenterologist and I think specializes in liver aswell."

So, you jump on a steroid forum, drop some complicated diagnosis that you haven't even seen a doctor for, and want advice on what to take?

ya @poff1 thats the treatment.. giving blood. although they will order phlebotomies at the hospital aswell and just toss the blood, but yes have been donating blood(however amount allowed to donate does not do much, but apparently keeps thing in check post corrective phlebotomies)
