Hormonal rollercoaster

Alright, sorry for the delay, I just got my labs back and I wanted to post the results here as promised.

This is after taking a month of A-dex .5mg twice a week. I'm also taking 60mg of Armour thyroid, as well as a handfull of other supps at the doctors advice: multimvitamin, folic acid, vitamin D, vitamin B12 complex, 25 mg DHEA, Ginko Biloba.

Estradiol ultra-sensitive - 16 pg/ml (< or = 29)
T4 - 505 UG/DL (4.9-10.1)
TSH - .01 uIU/ML (.4 - 4.0)
Total Testosterone - 819 NG/DL (262-1593)

My total T is the best it has ever been, so that's good. My E2 is too low, from the looks of it. And that is consistent with the symptoms I have been having, infrequent morning wood, libido lower, etc. I am hoping within the next month that will come back up.

I do have another Dr. appt. later this month so we'll see how that goes.

Hey guys,

So I got in with an endocrinologist on 10/28. Layed out my situation. He does not think that I could have permanently tanked my estrogen with the arimidex, but based on how I'm feeling... something is out of whack. He ordered the following labs:

Prolactin
LH
ACTH/ cortisol
TSH
Free T4
Estriol
Estradiol
DHEA
DHEAS
Total T
Free T
(Something else: can't read his handwriting)

Any thoughts? I'm going to draw the labs in a few weeks as instructed.

So here's my latest lab results. They're a bit spotty and without reference ranges because they were read to me over the phone. All labs were done by labcorp.

TSH: 1.81
DHEA/ DHEAS: 242 (the same value was given for both and she did mention that DHEAS was a bit 'low')
Total T: 476
Free T: 9.1 (9.3-26.5) LOW!!
ACTH: 14
Free T4: 0.74
Estradiol: 18.7
Estriol: 0.3
Cortisol: 14.44
LH: 3.87 (1.24 - 8.62)
Prolactin: 10.33
Somatometin(sp?): 221
GH: 0.1

Any ideas? Clearly the free T is low. Total T is less than ideal. Estradiol appears to be recovering, although my joints are still snap crackle pop. Mental health is doing a bit better day by day. Severe ED. I have another appointment 12/10. Where to go from here? Clomid? TRT? I'm 22, by the way.

Sorry to bump again but what's the relationship (if any) between low t4 and free testosterone. I notice that my t4 values are out of range low. Labcorp reference range is (.82-1.77) and I'm sitting at .74. I have ordered a high potency iodine supplement.

Chem Pm me I should be able to help you out bro I see this stuff on a daily basis in the office..
Before going messing with nutrients you need to know the interactions of things because you can make matters worse as I see this in majority of patients that get desperate.. If you are located near north eastern USA and have good insurance then we may be able to get this completely reckified the right way and save you alot of hazzle and grief. We need to properly investigate why your levels are low and get some what off an clincal reason to instead of playing russian roulette like many people end up coming to me do.

I felt a little better for about a week but then things got ugly and I was just too messed up emotionally to understand what was going on until a few weeks later. I had the sleeping problems just like you and the anxiety was overwhelming. Did your joints crack like mine did (and still are by the way)? I was very physically active during that time and maybe I did some damage during those few weeks. It's not painful now it just sounds like my knuckles are cracking all the time except it's my wrists, knees, and ankles. I'm just so worried that I have permanently screwed things up. I guess there is a reason that doctors are conservative with this kind of stuff. I know that the human body is pretty resilient and can bounce back, but in the mean time I am getting in with an endocrinologist as soon as possible and explaining my situation. Unfortunately, I did the arimidex as a research chemical, not under the supervision of the doctor so I know I'm going to get some heat.

I got just that. I have stopped the liquidex after 4 days. Just scared about e2 and TOTALLY confused about all the conflicting info given by various people. Simply trying to piece it together.

I totally understand the how devestating depression and anxiety can be. For me, this isn't about getting ripped or huge or nothing. Its about the opportunity to be depression free for the first time in 15 years. Its about being able to get aroused by a beautiful wife, like I used to. Its about the worries associated with not being able to give her what she would like once in a while. Increased fat, no strength........you know the routine.

I hope you feel better. At least I'm an old fart, you are young and shouldn't have to mess with this.

4 months later and I am happy to report that things seem to be getting better.

My advice is to avoid doing anything without the supervision of a knowledgeable doctor. Hang tight with this message board and you will eventually get the help that you need. I literally thought I was going crazy until I found this site and realized that it is possible to fix these problems.

If your current doctor is not worried about E2, then he probably does not know what he is doing. I would be concerned. If I were you I would visit a doctor specializing in this area of medicine and get a full workup to see WHY your testosterone is low.

You can get good referrals on this board. Send a message to hardasnails, he can help.

Been on arimidex for about a month now. Haven't suffered from any insomnia or sleep issues, but since I started taking it, I have been waking up really early every morning (consistently). No problem going to sleep, though. Any input from anyone very much appreciated. To mention, I'm under the care of a good doc for HRT but wanted to find out if, anecdotally, anyone else has experienced the sleep issues with arimidex. I was put on arimidex due to very high (well out of range) estradiol levels. Thx

PS: Just wanted to bump for a good follow up post -- nicely said and great to hear.
