Hot Flashes

Lack of sufficient testosterone is one of the causes of hot flashes.
I've been having hot flashes several times a day over the last 5 years (the same time frame I've had low libido and ED).

hmmm

Well, I'm on TRT right now. Had my T checked and it was 757 but had to lower my androgel dose from 5g to 2.5g due to hight DHT(122). E2 was 39 and fine. I then bumped my hcg up from 75iu/day to 100iu/day. As of yesterday, I bumped that to 130iu. Now, as an experiment I started taking soy isoflavones(capsules) two days ago. Hot flashes started yesterday. Here is what I'm thinking:

1)I don't think I have low T at this point.
2)Studies have found that women with hot flashes found relief with E2 OR progesterone supplementation.

3)Hot flashes could be caused by low E? What lowered my E?

Oh Yeah...

I do recall having hot flashes a few months ago and if memory serves me correct, I was at the time consuming Soy Protein Isolate. I might be one of the folks this stuff really effects(whatever it's doing)

According to SWALE they are simply caused by fluctuations in your hormone levels. If T, or E, is going up or down you may experience hot flashes. At least this is the way he explained it to me when I started experiencing them after starting TRT.

Do hot flashes tend to go away after you stabilize on your form of TRT... be it shots, patches or gels? I have been getting hot flashes and sort of a hyper feeling after my doctor increased my Androderm patches from 2.5 mg to 5 mg. He was titrating me up from 1 patch to 2.

Sooner than later I am going to go see SWALE. I will make the drive from PA to MI. Unfortunately I know more about TRT than my current endo. I am actually trying to teach him what I have learned from this great site. But he just isn't catching on too good. He thinks a lot of things are needless. What is the proper way of contacting the good Doctor? Anyone please. Thanks in advance.

By the way I am doing a lot better and progressing month by month from a bad prohormone/steroid cylce last winter/spring. I just need to keep on a safe and steady regimen of TRT. I actually prefer the androderm patches over shots and gels. It is milder on my sensitive system. I just want to find a comfortable level on the scale somewhere between 300 ng and 700ng and never deviate from it.... I want healthy stabile levels and mood. And I will never take any kind of muscle building agent again in my life! Period end of story. I had one bout of stupidity in the last 15 years and tried that cycle last winter/spring. Luckily I am recovering. Because my chemistry was pretty messed up from it. It scared some sense into me LOL.

One last thing... my recent CBC labwork was fantastic according to my doctor. Everything looked well within range. He said it was an awesome result for someone of my age.. just turned 48. I get to brag now LOL....but my Doctor said my body structure and health were comparable to someone in there twenties and thirties. I was hoping that exercising 6 days a week and a really healthy diet would do it. It seems to be working so far. My body has been poked, prodded and scanned over the last few months. LOL.
