How did golden-era bodybuilders rest only one minute between sets?

Do you think Dennis Rodman took HGH? He had a major growth spurt I believe well after 18 which is bizarre.

In high school people thought I juiced but all I did was lift and eat and get strong. Its different in a lot of high schools. The extra effort can really separate you. As you move up to college most have put in that extra effort as well.
The pituitary can kick in at any time. But once the plates at the end of the bones seal growth is pretty much done. One of the kids i went to school with 50 years ago was very short and he got dr. approved HGH is he could grow and he added a few inches but he is still a few inches short of average. .

Think about your questions before you ask them, because there are no stupid questions (only stupid people who ask them).

How could the person claiming that this statement is true - that "Golden era" bodybuilders rested only 1 minute between sets" - even evaluate it as true or false?

Can we even fairly characterize what duration rest intervals today's bodybuilders use as a rule?

There is no way to falsify this claim. It is, therefore, bullshit.

When you look back and see the pics and read the stories of 3-4 guys training together how could 2-3 guys even get those sets all in within 1 minute.

With rep loss on subsequent reps (i.e., lower total volume), which is still effective by the effective reps model and comports with cluster set methods (e.g., myo-rep, rest-pause, though 1 min is even more rest than those indicate for)? This works because effort dictates hypertrophy more than total volume, and fatiguing effects of short rests serve to increase motor unit recruitment and muscle fiber tension.

See how you failed to, and indeed cannot, falsify this claim? And how we're all just wasting our times discussing it?

Anyway, I've already been enough of a killjoy here; you guys carry on if you so choose.
