Ok you guys are gonna laugh but how about 120 grams of protein for $1.50 ??? Can you say TUNA SHAKE ??? Really not so bad if your looking for lots of protein for the least cost per serving. Here it is: 3 cans of tuna/1.5 - 2 cups of orange juice. Open all the cans and press out the excess water then add one can to blender. Add 2 cups O.J then mix until liquid. After it is liquid and with the blender still running slowly add in the remaining 2 cans while increasing the blender speed to puree. Blend for about 60 seconds or until all tuna is in pureed form. Chill and enjoy. Yeah I really drink this stuff........ok go ahead and laugh now..........
I think I'm gonna try that,can't beat that price to protein ratio!

Just a quick note...

Go to a wholesaler. Buy large amounts of beef, chicken, white fish, mixed frozen brocolli + cauli, frozen sliced peppers and onions, other frozen veggies of your liking, a few large jars of sauces and or some herbs / spices for some flavour and a sack of brown rice (5Kg or more).

While your their pick up 200 take away food dishes (light plastic resealable tubs - cost about 3 per 100) and a chest freezer (80 - 200 bucks).

Spend a day cutting the chciken in to strips, cooking it in a little sauce in the biggest pan you have. Cook the rice and par cook the vegetables (leave em a little crunchy).

Distribute chicken + sauce + veggies into every tub, adding rice to every 2nd one then leave to cool before filling the chest freezer with them. Every day leave the house for work with 6 of these little boxes of food, rotating the "with rice" ones to control overall kcal intake then all you have to do is microwave em for 3 minutes a meal and eat em straight from the tub.

Few suggestions -

Chicken curry with broccoli and cauliflower, with rice.

Baked White fish with onions, mixed peppers and rice.

Sweet and sour chicken with mixed peppers, pineapple and rice.

Chicken and brocolli in white sauce with whole wheat pasta.

etc.

Cheers,

G.

While the diets posted are helpful no doubt, they may not be right for you because they could be too high or too little in calories. You have to figure out your own maintenance needs.....Simply put....

Stick to clean foods and meat - Chicken - Fish - Lean cut beef

Take your AMR + BMR + 250-500 calories in meat.........

not gonna laugh, leaving to go vomit now! :eek:

When cooking chicken breasts use lots of Olive Oil;

Use Natural Peanut butter and / or almonds, walnuts or peanuts as a snack;

Eat lots of pasta and/or rice.

Hold off on light sauces that may have more fluid / water than anything else and fill you up quicker.

So you're also better off avoiding any type of fruits - apples, oranges, and other types of fruit are very water heavy and quickly fill you up ... it's wise to avoid these when bulking.

I get between 3,500 - 4,000 calories everyday - about 12 servings (divided into 4 shakes) of protein and 3 to 4 full meals. Not hard to do.

I guess everyone has an opinion. I think I need to bump up my calorie intake despite if it puts fat on me. I normally gain around 10 pounds per cycle. I would like to see that number double and then deal with the losses once I cut back on eating and come off. I eat a lot of chicken, drink 4-5 gallons of milk per week and try and consume high protein foods during the day. I've added Tuna to my diet as of late as an inbetween snack. I think I am going to go for two cans per day. I think I will bring back the protein shake right before bed too.

Well, now that there is a problem. Why would you cut back your food? You only like to eat enough to grow muscle, but not to maintain that muscle?
