How many HARDCORE METAL fans at Meso?

Hopefully their is some actual creativity in those bands. Where craftsmanship meets musicianship. I've made it a point to stay away from stuff like that cuz everytime I hear it or see it it just seems...horrible.

You know hetfield wrote all his songs? Every fucking one them. You couldn't find a better songwriter. Powerful and capable of delivering a msg thru lyrics. An art many do not have
Yep... Kill Em All was good, of course, but from Ride the Lightning on, they were light years ahead of the game in their ability to write and record heavy art and emotion. Light years ahead. You can listen to For Whom the Bell Tolls/Fade to Black (1985) and it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. I've had the pleasure of exploring those songs on hallucinogens, and the universe was deep and wonderful. I still rotate some of the more "off the radar" Sabbath too... Into the void, Electric Funeral type shit. Had the pleasure of seeing Pantera Open for Sabbath, as well as Sabbath open for Ozzy, that's a double dip full meal deal concert their.

Slipknot had a great run too. They were like a much needed shot in the arm to wake us up. Corey Taylor is a beast of a singer and musician. The dude could howl all day all night and never lose his voice. I love the msg behind his songs. Deep, violent and not an ounce of poser

Been to abbott's grave?
Yes. I've got pics, but they're on my phone, I need my wife to show me how to get them on here. I have pics with quite a few guys in the metal community, as well of better pictures of my wife's muscular progression. I need to step up my picture game.

Alvin and the chipmunks....must have on squat day!
i can't believe the day Star Wars: the force awakens is being released on the same day as the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie premieres. Alvin is gonna crush Star Wars haha

I don't think I saw Dimmu Borgir mentioned. I love symphonic metal (I think that's how you would classify them).

I'm not too crazy about the devil worship theme, so I don't listen to them very often, but the sound is amazing.

My usual go-to playlist has Hatebreed, Five Finger Death Punch, Jasta, Soilwork, Disarmonia Mundi, Dethklok, etc. That's what gets me going at the gym.

I like hatebreed but honestly alot of it is just noise to me. The front runner songs are great. The rest of the tracks on my cds are forgettable.

I remember when all my friends started looking like slim shady with that stupid edged out look and the fake rap attitude. You remember? That was a pretty big time for rap. I was lonesome all by myself. Still flipping between the A&B side of justice for all. Didn't bother me tho. I don't flip flop. Once I set my roots I grow in to a tree. Represent forever. I was definitely the only guy who still acted white in my school it seemed

Yeah man, you're probably not a metal head, from our generation anyway, if you didn't ware out multiple copies of Justice, or certainly not be able to read the words on it (as I hear the breakdown in the middle of "Blackened" in my head.

amen.

I used to put on Morbid Angel, turn it up to 11 and stare at the blank TV screen with the power off. (I went through a lot of roommates)
I listened to tons of bands with "evil" themes, but I never focused on the evil, it was a "good" feeling for me. I'm not well versed in Morbid Angels entire catalogue, I'm drawn to the slow grind heavy shit. I know the song "Where the Slime Live", for me, is a direct reflection of what muscle and grinding it out feel like.

I never cut myself, wore piercings, wore only black, wore makeup, grew a filthy neck beard. No if that's what you mean
