One question... do drummers give the best handjobs? Bet that shits over in 2 seconds.I fucking LOVE metal.
I play drums for metal bands, and not as a hobby, as a semi professional. Been playing for over 15 years.
I used to play all over NY. I actually lived in our band's studio for a couple years practicing for an average of 4 hours a day. Serious shit, and I got pretty good.
I was asked to join a band almost every time I tried a kit in Guitar Center. One handed drum rolls and double bass at 220bpm always turned heads. The guys running the drum center would usually be asking me for advice.
At one point I was asked to join a band signed to a record label which toured across Germany. I turned them down at the time because I was trying to further my original band. That, and there is no money to be made in metal bands, not even the extremely popular bands believe it or not. Gorgoroth's members all have real life jobs, as do most other "Professional" bands. My band almost opened for Gorgoroth, if it wasn't for them having to cancel the show.
Anyways, I live for grindcore, deathmetal, speed metal, melodic deathmetal, power metal, old school punk rock and thrash.
Drummers I always looked up to include Neil Peart (spelling? And I know he's not metal, but damn is he rock solid.), Derrek Roddy, George Kolias and John Longstreth. Check out their YouTube vids if you want to see some unreal drumming.
If anyone has any drum questions, feel free to reply or PM me anytime! I love talking drums!![]()

Edit, went to school with his younger brother...
We can always lay down some tracks across countries! Someone record a guitar track, bass track, vocal track, and I'll lay down a drum track!
True that we live in an age of technology. I have a good studio program on my lap top
Although not "hardcore", I've really been into Ghost BC lately, you guys heard them?
