How many of you workout twice a day?

I was talking to some guys at my gym about their routines, both have been lifting for 10+ years and blasting and cruising for 5 years or so each, and they both workout twice a day. Typically a heavy workout early AM (90 minutes), and then a short workout in the evening (45 minutes). Their shorter workouts tend to be things like abs, arms, traps, smaller muscle groups they can work more often.

Just curious if you guys think this is worthwhile?

Since Ive gotten older it makes more sense , hit legs in the morning and come back in the evening or a few hours later to hit upper body . Or try one hour later , sometimes thats all it takes to be refreshed for the 2nd phase....try it sometime . :D ~Ogh

I train at 5:15 am. When I get off work, my extra time is for my family. I don't know how people have that much free time if they're not pro.

I've done it on occasion before. Sometimes I'll just be feeling it and go back and have an even better workout than the one earlier that day. But as said above, usually I have other shit going on and can't do this but every so often.

Fuck the rules, I say go by how you feel

I usually work out twice a day at least 3 days a week. Exactly like you said go in the AM with a heavy session or light depending and then do smaller or heavier movements depending what I did later in the day.

Feels great. I just go to class and work some times so it’s oretty easy.

I have the luxury of a bad ass gym a couple blocks from my office at work. I go at 6AM and then back at noon 3-4 days a week. I like training heavy in the morning and then HIIT at noon. Sometimes the reverse depending on what I'm training that day.

I have the same luxury, I have my amazing gym that I hit before work at like 5-6 am, then I have a so so commercial gym 1/2 from my work so I have the opportunity to use my hour lunch and catch a 45 min workout or so.
I think depending on how I feel I’ll hit some light accessories or small muscle groups on my lunch breaks.

I would love to hit the weights twice a day but in the same boat as the majority.....I leave for work at 5:30am and home about 6/7pm. If i didnt have my own gym in the basement my family would never see me.

This morning I hit back then came back 3 hours later and hit biceps .
I was able to do 100% effort on both workouts . I like it...

I do core/ fasted cardio in the am and train in the evenings. Hard for me to lift in the am as I never have the strength or endurance like I do in the evenings.
Fasted lifting is absolutely awful for me as well.
I'll typically wake up at 4:30 and eat a pb&j while getting myself packed up for the day and head down to the gym for 5:15 or so. That's typically just enough to keep me good until I get to work where I'll eat my breakfast.

I probably wouldn’t mind as bad as I used to train in the morning but I pin 2 iu of gh and stay fasted for 1.5-2 hours before eating and then I’ll go to work.
