how much weight is to much to gain in a 10 week period?

25lbs in 3 weeks sounds borderline impossible to me, but lets assume its legit. There is no way you are gaining lean mass/muscle that quickly. It is water/fat.
Just read this while taking a drink between sets and spit water every where. The plumpynutt had me rolling.
OP gain as much as you want to bro. The sky is the limit.
 
OP, get a scale with a BF meter - they're not exact, but the trend should help - then you just focus on the BF level. Stop worrying about the weight, it is what it is. Gain as much as you like while keeping BF under control.
 
I have gained 20lbs in 2 months as I have increased my food intake as well as upping the training. This has helped me gain some size, and a bit of fat however.

It does take some care to make sure that I didnt over eat.
 
Dude when I came off dope and hopped on test I put on like 45 pounds in 10 weeks. Was it healthy? No, I think it stressed my already worn out heart. Was it all fat? Fuck no. I was severely under weight, and introducing 3500 calories a day, to someone who's accustomed to going entire days without food, provides a pretty drastic change in body composition.
